The Nest of the Mud-Dauber Wasps that I Found

The nest of the mud-dauber wasps that I found in between my pile of books. Usually I like to crush their abandoned nests but this one is really nice, a work of nature's art, it's beautiful. The most likely species is Asian mud-dauber wasp (Sceliphron curvatum).

Their nests are structurally fragile, that's why i like to crush them with my fingers. Although they are parasitoids (not to humans), they are useful in reducing spiders. But yeah, I try to avoid them as much as possible, just as they avoid me because I'm human.

Wasp (?) nest I saw on my walk at golden hour. Any of my more bug-savvy followers know the ID on what made this? Already posted to iNat, but figured I'd ask here, too.

Image descriptions (they’re all pictures of the same thing but at different angles): a picture of an empty wasp nest that was found in my backyard. It is placed on a metal table. The pictures show the nest at several different angles to show different aspects of the nest. In one picture my dog Bagel can be seen in the background 

My dog Poppy found this empty wasp nest outside! It’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen, I’ve never seen one like this in my own backyard! It’s likely that it was blown off of a tree during one of the rain and/or windstorms we’ve been having lately and it landed by the fence in my backyard. Poppy was sniffing it and I thought it was a toy at first, but then I realized it was a wasp nest! She was about to play with it and I didn’t want her to ruin it so I picked it up and placed it on this table and then grabbed my iPad and took a bunch of pictures of it! I thought it was really cool and I immediately posted it to r/insects.

I’m so proud of Poppy for finding this! It’s sooooo cool! I’ve seen smaller ones before which were just a small piece of the comb that fell out of the nest, but this one is an almost fully intact nest!    there’s no wasps currently inside of it, I’ve had it in my room all night and no bugs have come out so it definitely is inactive.

As a bug lover I definitely appreciate seeing something so cool and I was totally geeking out over it. I hope other bug lovers here will appreciate this!

(Should I tag this as tw bugs? No bugs are in the photo so I’m not sure if the tag is necessary, but I am tagging it bugs so if someone has tw bugs blocked it likely will still be blocked for them)

I heard rustling while I was moving things around outside and I looked up to see these curious guys staring back at me! Some are a bit harder to see but there's certainly more than it looks like here! Truly a real wasp house-
