I can't remember if I posted any WIPs of this, but I finished this painting after working on it on/off over the past few months. I feel like I learned a lot and want to try it again, I think.

okay so there was a poll i voted on the other day that was asking about how much no-gotcha-no-monkey-paw-no-taxes-et-cetera money you would accept and i immediately clicked the biggest number because i could use the excess to try to Do Good or whatever

but i wonder what's the highest i would accept if there was a "only for me" type stipulation. Not just big things donating to charity or setting up a trust so the youngin's in my life can go to college or whatever, but even things like treating my friends to dinner, buying gas for friends who give me a ride, leaving a big tip at dinner...that all has to come from a traditionally earned income.

How much would I take in that case?

i haven't thought deeply enough about this that I have covers for loopholes like "if i have a spare bedroom is letting a friend stay with me indefinitely a way of that money being used on not me"

idk if this makes any sense and i recognize that this is even more impossible than the original question

The thing about being mildly involved in a hobby is that it can completely skew your perspective on even minor things.

I read "use clear pictures" for part of an assignment and I think "okay, see if I can find the light box, bring out the macro lens so the finer details are visible, better use a tripod..." when my professor means something better than a blurry phone picture taken in a dark room with flash on.

like there's the trope of inheriting something from a distant relative or whatever, but what really are the estate laws and number of predeceased needed to result in that

so then you end up googing like "intestacy laws by state when all beneficiaries die in same event"
