All you asked for in a video demo! . About a month of testing the Ant, additional impressions: . 🔸the tiny blue-print is very handy, especially when navigating small places. The Ant has the smallest frame from all similar models we have tested. . 🔸the frame grows with the child, literally. Mine is set per Elisey’s height, so that his shoulder straps hit at the most comfortable position for him. You can extend two more levels from here. . 🔸it’s sturdy. Like, solid sturdy. . 🔸if you are in-and-out of busses, subways or a car, this is a FANTASTIC solution. The fact that you can fold with toys/stuff in mesh basket, just pull the stroller along and don’t have to carry it is genius. . 🔸there is a way to fold the stroller and carry the riding board in the mesh compartment. That discovery solved my headache for when I take two little kids out. . 🔸I wish that in the front-facing position the seat reclined more, that’s my only complain. From what I can tell, though, it is designed that way to keep it balanced. Benefits outway this minus though, far outway. . 🔸 The basket is a lot larger than I anticipated, which is a great discovery. Easily fits my camera gear, couple of big shoe boxes or a hefty load of groceries. I was pleasantly surprised. . 🔸accessories are absolute musts. Q&A from DMs about Bugaboo Ant: . 🔸can you attach a second seat to it? No, but you CAN attach a riding board with a seat! Both, Elia and Evyianne love riding on it. It doesn’t get in the way whatsoever, you can walk just fine, which is amazing. . 🔸can you attach a seat from a different Bugaboo model to the Ant? The Ant is a little stand-alone module that is created to work with its own seat, so, no. BUT! You can use the accessories just fine! I bought a cup holder and a cellphone holder, love both! . 🔸do you kick the stroller when you walk? . No! There is plenty of legroom! That’s what I really, really like about the Ant. Even on a lower setting for the height of the handle, you still can walk just fine. . 🔸can you keep things in the stroller basket or do you have to take them out when you fold the stroller? . You can keep it in! Just make sure to use the mesh section! . 🔸How good is the canopy? Do I need to buy a parasol? . Parasol is always a good imho, but I can honestly tell you that I don’t feel that it’s a necessity. The canopy shields the baby very well, even in a fully reclined position. So, canopy alone is enough, imho. Makes it easier to fold/unfold and get around with the stroller. . Curious: how important the stroller is for you? I love long weekends! We hang at the zoo today. The story behind it: . Nikola and I were brainstormed about fun things to do for the day. Zoo came up. Elia and Evyianne were skip-hopping by. . Me: “Elia and Evyianne, do you want to go to the zoo?” . Elia : 🧐🤨🤔 . Evyianne: “what’s a ZOO?!” . And that is, friends, when I felt like we had a total parenting fail with the little ones 😂 As we thought of it, the last time we went to a zoo was in SF, when Elisey was not even born, Elia was smaller than Elisey today and Evyianne was a year younger than Elia now. . To the zoo we went. Parenting fail must be turned into a “parenting fix”, wouldn’t you agree? . Had to cut it a little short at the end, I overestimated how much I was able to walk today, but it was all worth it. . Everyone loved it. Elia was ecstatic. Evyianne keeps asking if we can come back tomorrow. Elisey was thoroughly unimpressed 😂, but he enjoyed the ride🤗 . PS: I am planning a “just-in-case” route for the month of September to make sure we cover all our favorite things. Who knows what else we may have missed 🤗 . What are you doing this weekend, guys? “Women don’t look feminine in pants or jeans” - true or false? You tell me! . On the other note, I was taking to a friend today, a topic of equestrian sports came up and I mentioned how double worried I was for my girls now, after my injury, since they are fully immersed in the sport and determined to go far. Particularly Nadya, simply because she does more. . Her reply was “well, just tell her that you can’t afford it! She can’t hate you for it! And that way they won’t be doing anything that is dangerous” . You know, it’s kind of taken me by surprise. . Maybe, because I was held back so much and had to fight for what I loved with the very people who I loved, but I firmly believe that it is our responsibility as parents to help our kids find their path and give them what they need to succeed on it. Believe me, I understand the affordability part very well. I moved to US with mere $300+, and worked my way up to today myself. I didn’t marry rich. We had absolutely nothing when we got married, had to restart then twice more, so I get it, more than anyone. Yet, when it comes to kids, dreams, talent and aspirations, I think we have to find ways to make it happen for them. We just have to. It’s our job. One of our parental responsibilities. . What do you think? For us, it is better to have a smaller home, less vacations, but put the money into skill and talent development. Of course, the ideal is to have it all, but if you can’t, what would you do? @Bugaboo Ant: small but mighty! My first impressions: . 🔸SMOOTH RIDE This is a very big stickling point in compact strollers. Ant rides beautifully. The suspension is fantastic. Keep an eye on stories, I will upload more different terrains as I keep using it. . 🔸 COMFORTABLE SEAT Elisey is picky. He likes the Ant. The seat adjusts for different heights per child’s needs, which I really like . 🔸LEG SUPPORT Leg rests are so-so, but that is expected per the design and function of the stroller. This is NOT a full-size stroller. For a compact version it has a good option for leg support, but if you are looking for adjustable leg supports - this is not the stroller for you. . 🔸ADJUSTABLE HANDLE Both heights work great for me, Justin prefers the higher one. I also like that the handle extends far. I don’t kick the stroller when walking. . 🔸RECLINABLE AND REVERSIBLE SEAT THIS was a huge selling point for me. Having an ability to have a child face a parent is very important, especially during the first year. The seat has 3 reclining positions when facing the patent, only 2 when facing the world, a minus, in my opinion, but the compromise that is worth having, imho, per all other pluses the Ant has. Also, the extendable canopy is a plus. Take note, though, the pink and grey melange have pick-a-boo windows, the other colors don’t. Just FYI. . 🔸THE BASKET Love the basked. It’s large, holds a lot, and when the mesh compartment is used, you DON’T have to take things out when you fold the stroller. That is very, very helpful. . 🔸MANEUVERABILITY Turns and rides beautifully. The signature Bugaboo style. . 🔸ONE MORE THING: I highly recommend trying one at @buybuybaby , they stock the most Bugaboo models. You can play with it first before buying and get one there too.
