Okay so I have two sort of disconnected stories.

One that is summer themed, with you know, jet skis.

Or one that is more holiday oriented.

As much as I love the jet skis, I think the Christmas party sticks closer to character.

Also stay with me here, this isn't the daddy issues/caught in his bed type story. Not a gets immediately to the steamy stuff, sort of story.

If I write a story I go ALL IN on the backstory and build up. I mean if you look at my Moon Knight/Eternals fic you will see what I mean 😂 it's 33k+ words.

Also important trigger warning, I have a reader with drunk and controlling boyfriend as an inciting incident.

Also reader is a college student, over 18. But obviously an age gap.

Here is a bit of that one...

There was something about the way the guy gripped your arm annoyed Mobius. The former analyst like to think it's because you were a kind and good natured person and deserved someone better. Mobius had been making sure to keep her in my periphery as the evening went on. And he would have to be blind to miss the growing annoyance in your eyes as your boyfriend became increasingly intoxicated as the night went on. The guy’s voice was too loud and his grip on you seemed too tight. It wasn't until the oaf had animatedly been telling one of the younger employees a story about a hockey game he'd played that Mobius saw a chance to check in with you. The drunk idiot asked you to get him a new drink while he continued talking to your coworker. So Mobius excused himself from the conversation he was half listening and making his way to the bar.

“Hey, Don,” you greet him. You don't miss the way his eyebrows furrow at your exhausted tone. You are curious at the way he moves a bit closer to you.

“You okay?” He asks, his tone low, hoping to not alert the others around you. He doesn't miss the way your eyes flicked to your boyfriend across the room. Mobius looks over to see that the guy hadn't even spared you a glance. You sighed as you ordered a new drink.

“I'm fine,” you insisted, but your tone was anything but convincing.

Mobius makes a decision.

“Come with me,” he says quietly and leads you over to the small coat room near the door. It was quieter than the rented room or the larger tap room out front.
