A thought about them that they’d never share:
So much of Devon was inexplicable, a mystery Cassie had yet to unlock. She loved them; of course she did. Cassie would be out ofher mind not to. But there was still so much of Devon that the blonde girl hadyet to understand, and she worried that pressing them would only push themaway.
First impression of them:
Having met them at a soup kitchen, Devon didn’t look like they were forced to be there, or that they were bored out of their mind, making them practically a saint in Cassie’s eyes. Devon approached Cassie halfway through, and the two bonded over the long volunteer hours.
Favorite thing about them:
Numerous, numerous things. Their extensive knowledge of video games, their fake annoyance when Cassie drags them out to enjoy themself, how at home Cassie feels at the Cavanaugh house. The list is endless.
Least favorite thing about them:
Not only does Cass hate talking bad about anyone, there was very little bad to say about Devon. Perhaps the fact that, as cheesy as it sounds, Cassie cares for them like the little sibling they never had, and can't help but worry about them.
Hopes for their future relationship:
That Cassie doesn't stop talking to them — like, ever, — and that one of these days she finally manages to beat them at a video game.
