Pyro doesn't know how long he's been swimming for, but his tail is starting to ache from how hard he was pushing himself to get away. He's far enough from his pods territory now that Pyro allows himself to slow down. It's as the adrenaline starts to fade that everything crashes down on him.
His pod chased him out. He has nowhere to go. Pyro's never been on his own before.

They were just trying to catch something to eat. It's been days since they've managed to get anything, and Pyro's stomach is cramping painfully.
They know better than to get near the boats. It's dangerous, and if a human caught them, it would be the end.

Usually, when a storm hits, Pyro would be curled in the furthest corner of whatever cave his pod decided to bunker down in. That isn't an option now, and the waves are too strong for Pyro to dive down.
