Project I briefly played around with last quarter. We had to make a character pitch off of the prompt “tribal warrior”.

I pitched a character based on the Bissu, the genderqueer priests of the Bugis people in South Sulawesi. Bugis society have a different framework for understanding gender. Their culture acknowledges 5 genders that they believe must co-exist in harmony.
