I been thinkin’ about this a lot actually lmao, I think subtle flirting, “anonymous” gift giving (but Grimm is so damned obvious, Higgins would know any and all gifts he’s been given are from Grimm lmao), and occasional small talk would at least give Grimm a path to being friends with Higgins. Like genuinely asking how he is, answering honestly, calling Higgins out on his bs, helping him when he needs it, etc etc.

Grimm is a biiiiiig flirt, isn’t ashamed of anything so he’d definitely be giving Higgins lots of hints and openings for ‘more’ 👀 constantly, even though they probably embarrass and weird the shite out of the old man bahaha.

uhum, idk much abt him yet, I keep telling myself I’ll flesh out a better backstory for him but we haven’t gotten around to it LMAO

what I have so far is that he grew up in the industrial slums of Southern Barnarock in a small inner-city called Beggar’s End

before receiving Pa’s letter, he was in an arranged marriage and almost threw it away, but after his wife and daughter died during childbirth, he decided to go to Portia and start anew

he’s also an old soul, almost 40, loves nature, really optimistic and helpful, super open-minded and supportive of his friends...

just all around unproblematic 💛
