Spring House is available for download at mod.io: clickie!
Well! Uh. When the House Flipper 2 buyers 2.0 update hit, Henry Spring magically became un-attained in the buyer list, while a bunch of the new DLC buyers and one Scooby Doo villain became magically attained. Whoopsie, a little error in y'all's coding, devs. Meanwhile, I tried the Cobblestone House trick again but this time Henry didn't show up in the list of buyers at all, which makes sense based off his wants list... I thought it was weird he would buy the Cobblestone House in the first place, nevermind the failed-to-get-Melody technicolor mansion.
Whatevs, today I re-bagged Henry Spring by starting from flat nothing via the "Building permit" lot. I'm really terrible at middle-America generic suburban architecture, but for once... I think I pulled it off. The front looks a bit awkward, but the back turned out really nice and heck it... I'm happy with the end result. Here's a couple WIP shots of the building stage before we start a proper tour of the finished digs:
Okidokie! Let's have a look around the yard first, starting with the garden shed Henry's buyer info suggests.
Oh look, here we are at the front door. Convenient! Let's step inside and check out the living room, which was an interesting challenge to furnish after deciding "yes, I do want support poles in here."
The left-most door in the last pic is the kitchen, where we're going next. The middle door is the bathroom, and the right-hand door is the bedroom. But yes, le kitchen, it be a kitchen-ing. Also included is a small laundry room and pantry through the door in the left corner as viewed in the first pic. The living room door is the one on the right, and the back door is by the kitchen table.
Now on to the bathroom, and then the bedroom with an area set up for Polly to draw and sew. I wish there was more drawing stuff in the game; I know the calligraphy stuff exists but didn't feel like it fit properly.
Welp, we finally have a house where Henry is top bidder, and that makes sense for his must-haves. I have a feeling now that if the buyer revamp had been done sooner, my second failed attempt in the modern suburban location probably would have succeeded... though the jury remains indefinitely out on if the forest garden would have been too big and expensive for him. Ironically, this new place didn't even turn a profit, but then I spent three times the base lot price on the renovation and I didn't properly read through his comments in the buyer's page before hitting "yes plz sell NOW thx."
