The Changling Tomb (Emperor Yongle's Tomb) is the joint burial mausoleum of Emperor Zhu Di (1360-1424), the third emperor Yongle of the Ming Dynasty, and his empress Xu. Starting in 1409, the underground palace and above ground structures were completed in 1427 and cover 12000 square meters – making it the largest among the 13 mausoleums in Tianshou Mountain. Pictured here is the walkway on the wall surrounding the entrance to the tomb and the Soul Tower. #asia #china #beijing #exploringBJ #changling #tomb #trees a little bit of #nature #buildingaroundtrees #travelphotography #igersbeijing #wanderlust (at Changling, Beijing, China)
