Can any Korean bot fight lovers explain Blade’s inconsistent banana theme? Is this just a joke about the shape and color of the bot or am I missing something?

What're your favorite bots this season? Mine are Whiplash, Ribbot, Rusty, Rotator, and HyperShock
Unsurprisingly, I love a lot of bots! Rusty is also one of my favorites, but I’ll highlight 10 of mine in no particular order.
Uppercut- A beautifully simple bot despite the difficulties the team has been through.
Smeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - What can I say that’s new about this fantastically ridiculous bot. I really want a team shirt.
SHATTER! - I’m usually against hammer bots, but SHATTER!’s unique armor and aesthetic really won be over. It’s a shame how often judges rule against it for taking lots of “damage” despite the “armor” being easily destroyed being the whole point! Also, I don’t have room for it here but the team leader’s hair is absolutely fabulous when he lets it down.
Ribbot - Adorable. Effective. Plays to my amphibian weakness.
Mammoth and HUGE - Please see this ask.
Kraken - Ridiculous and surprisingly effective for it’s bot type.
Malice - A strong bot with an awesome leader. Bunny deserves all the best. The team does need to diversify their clothing textures - their currently a bit too shiny for my taste.
Madcatter - With an inspiring backstory and a ridiculous team leader, what’s not to love about this crazy kitty?

HiJinx - Though the bot can sometimes leave something to be desired, it and it’s team never does aesthetically. Though why does one guy have a blue shirt?
Soup Shaker, the robot that propels itself by shaking a packet of soup flavoring, in a crossover episode with Hebocon (my beloved).
Tantrum is my favorite "new" bot. Literally every match in sesason 5 with Tantrum in it is entertaining without fail. I'm just a Tantrum stan, what can I say?
Glad to hear it! Tantrum is certainly a fun bot with a very interesting evolution. Never a boring bot (even when it’s design was)!
@talshee has been updating my post with the actual rules which would disqualify them (so they no longer just have my half baked recollection of the rules from season 2), but also suggested this fine idea for a bot:
Now, we have a couple of bots which don’t quite fit the description, but close enough I feel like spotlighting them:
Village Idiot was a wildly successful bot in the original run of battlebots, with only one loss under it’s belt. Unfortunately, it lost on entry to the 4th season to Complete Control. Because of how low to the ground a wedge bot must be, it couldn’t retract its duel spinners and lacked any arms.
Tantrum brings back the arms (though they where only built as self-righting mechanism, they could presumably “catch” another bot driving overtop) and has a moving spinner! A drum spinner, but again, close enough.
And finally, the much hated by me: Grabot! This stupid little bot has a wedge, “grabbing” arms, and can switch those arms out for duel spinning blades. If only it’s arms actually worked and it could use both features at once! It wouldn’t be standing at 0/3 record (god I hope I remembered how to order that) with the only positive thing I can say about it being that it has a pretty bangin’ logo.
A bot shaped like a wedge-ramp with a hole in the top that houses a metal spike. The spike darts out and stabs the bot's belly as it drifts over, hopefully stabbing through to the electrical parts inside.
As mentioned previously with BEAR PUNCH the pneumatic spear was a very popular early battlebots design- and wedges were a very popular part of their strategy (as you picked up on in this ask)
La Machine was a (if not the) pioneer of the wedge- with her speed she could easily scoop other bots upside down or out of the battle box
And in her latter appearances she added a pneumatic spike to the top of her ramp- ensuring that bots didn’t fly all the way over her and where at the very least flipped over.
Other bots that followed suit with the wedge/spike combo include Jabberwock and Yoshikillerbot.
A pneumatic puncher bot. (Basically, have a metal “fist” on one end, and have it spring out and retract when it attacks, and of course, have it be pneumatic.)
Call it... Cross Counter.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you want to see your shittiest dreams realized) the initial run of Battlebots was RICH with pneumatic spikes, which eventually grew the pneumatic punch: Bear Punch!
Quick tag list:
#shitty battlebots is the point, any bot that is actually bad
#unshitty battlebots are for those bots that are deemed not bad
#actual battlebots refers to real bots that have competed in televised battlebots competions
#built bots are bots which where actually built
#bot art is for robot fanart and #battlebots gijinka is for any and all humanized/animalized robot designs
#doomba and #knife roomba refer to, well, knife (and any other sharp implement) roomba
tags starting with #disqualified for: detail why a bot would be disqualified, but does not mean they are disqualified from being shitty bots. In fact, the shittiest a bot can be is disqualified!
#asks and answers is for, well, asks! Please don’t submit your bots through asks though
