GRABOT
@talshee has been updating my post with the actual rules which would disqualify them (so they no longer just have my half baked recollection of the rules from season 2), but also suggested this fine idea for a bot:
Now, we have a couple of bots which don’t quite fit the description, but close enough I feel like spotlighting them:
Village Idiot was a wildly successful bot in the original run of battlebots, with only one loss under it’s belt. Unfortunately, it lost on entry to the 4th season to Complete Control. Because of how low to the ground a wedge bot must be, it couldn’t retract its duel spinners and lacked any arms.
Tantrum brings back the arms (though they where only built as self-righting mechanism, they could presumably “catch” another bot driving overtop) and has a moving spinner! A drum spinner, but again, close enough.
And finally, the much hated by me: Grabot! This stupid little bot has a wedge, “grabbing” arms, and can switch those arms out for duel spinning blades. If only it’s arms actually worked and it could use both features at once! It wouldn’t be standing at 0/3 record (god I hope I remembered how to order that) with the only positive thing I can say about it being that it has a pretty bangin’ logo.
