Unilever, Nestlé, and PepsiCo all have plans for reusable packaging for certain products. America’s largest grocery store chain, Kroger, said that they will divert 90% of its food waste from landfills by 2020, and eliminate plastic bags by 2025. Ultimately, governments and major corporations need to be held responsible, as our individual consumer choices are nothing compared to their waste. Many places are trying at least by banning items like styrofoam and plastic straws.
