Everyone has seen me posting that fanfic right? Right. So I made a bullet list of all the quests I completed in my first run with Tav Moonridge which is what 'A Most Unexpected Adventure' is loosely based off of. I did this because there is just entirely too much stuff in this game for me to free-form like I normally do. I only added things that I hadn't already gotten written down, have kept it mainly to the quests themselves, and then I started putting it in a rough order and realized some things:
To make things make sense plot wise I have to rearrange when things happen. Which is fine, written word is very different than gameplay and it's only loosely based on that playthrough. But it means that...
...I didn't think about the owlbear cub when I last wrote about the goblin camp so Thorn (what I name the cub) may not be present during the tiefling party. Astarion also has not bitten Tav at all yet and I had originally been thinking he'd gotten in like 3 or 4 bites by the party. We'll see about fudging storylines later.
Just a simple bullet list of Team Tadpole's shenanigans is at 13 pages right now. It's not even done by the way because I keep remembering cut scenes I need/want to include and trying to figure out where would make the most amount of sense to put them.
Act 3 is fucking dense story wise. By itself it is literally more than half of this document and again - most of it is along the lines of 'Go here, [event]' then 'go here, finish [other quest]'
Upside, having the list means I can get most of the plot conflicts out now rather than later. Also - provided I actually stay on top of it - I can clearly work out how many days/weeks it's been through the bullet list.
