Reel GA Gives "SUBMIT" a 4.5 out of 5 Star Rating!
An arresting look at the short history and unpredictable future of cyberbullying, “Submit the Documentary” is a hair-trigger exploration of the limited laws, muddy circumstances, personal testimonies, tragic family experiences and expert opinions surrounding the social pathosis. Director Muta’Ali Muhammad and his producing team of Les Ottolenghi and Ashley Reid have crafted an absorbing feature that unsettles as much as it educates.
From the first ardently pixelated moments, backed a loud, pulsating soundtrack, the film’s atmosphere is thick with an urgency that echoes “The Social Network” and “Catfish.” While all three movies reside in the same universe, “Submit the Documentary” possesses a passion and importance the others do not. The film wastes zero time on white space, making sure each frame is both trim and useful. Never slowing down long enough to catch its breath, such a breakneck speed favors efficiency without seeming reckless

Bully, Be Gone
We talked about this.
Last year I told you about what a problem bullying is becoming among today’s youth, and I thought that would be the end of it. Imagine my disappointment when I find out it’s still happening!
Still, we did a good job.
Bullying affects maybe 13 million kids each year. That’s million. But thanks to the documentary “Bully” and social awareness campaigns using tools such as Twitter, last year’s awareness campaign reached 232 million people. The documentary was screened at US schools for a half-million kids. Their target this year is 1 million more. The Bully Project equips students, parents, and educators with awareness raising and activating tools to transform their classrooms and local communities into bully-free zones.
Read about it here: thebullyproject.com.
This is a good week to look at that phenomenon and what else we can do if we happen to have time for more than 160 characters.
Today you can join The BULLY Project and CNN for a day of action against bullying. Set your DVR for CNN at 10 p.m. EST, when “Anderson Cooper 360” will debut the hour-long “The BULLY Effect," a chronicle of how the raw and powerful documentary “Bully” helped ignite an inspirational, grassroots anti-bullying social movement.
Let’s keep this thing going. Take this LifeKraze AND Twitter pledge as a start:
