One of my experiences about when I was in a very vulnerable position is that predators and bullies would aproach you very friendly, then try to presure you into do a certain thing to "have their aproval" like misgendering and ex or so, and when you don´t do that and you show that you aren´t searching for their aproval their TURN VERY VIOLENT AND SCARY. Like a 180º turn.
I suppose it´s the whole manosphere gear, being a predator in search for the vulnerable, pressure them (because you believe they´re seeking for your aproval) and then turn into a violent abuser when they don´t behave as you want.
If you feel that you are being coerced by someone of your circle to behave a certain way, you´re being abused. It´s getting worse because years before just saying no and going away (having a scape plan) usually solved the thing, but now you should be prepared for that abuser having a very violent lash out, usually when you´re your most vulnerable, alone and drained but you had enough.
It´s kinda like a mafia / cult tactic they have. They lose all the casualness when you say "no". It´s kinda a jumpscare the change in tone, from friendly and very casual to very scary, violent and pushy, when you turn down their "friendly asks".
