Christmas/Winter Starters! [ x ]
🔥 Our muses drink hot chocolate and cuddle next to the fireplace!
Lusine abhorred winter. Everything about it felt completely unnatural for a being accustomed to a tropical climate. She hated the way snow melted as soon as one stepped inside. She hated the way she slipped so easily on icy sidewalks. She hated how quickly her face and limbs went numb from the sheer cold alone, despite however many layers she piled on. But this, this wasn’t so bad.
Maybe any other person would’ve been overheating, but she felt perfectly content to nestle against his chest and just watch bright flames lap hungrily at a small pile of logs. It wasn’t too warm; it was perfect. As if it couldn’t get any better, she also had a cup of liquid chocolate and actually really liked it. More often than not, she found food here to be too. Too sweet, too spicy, too salty, too sour, too bitter, too anything for her evidently very bland palette. But this drink wasn’t sickly sweet, and she took tiny sips to try and make it last.
“I wish I had one of these in my apartment,” the redhead sighed, letting her head fall back to peer up at his face with a pout. Only, it was hard to keep up the pitiful expression when her heart suddenly went pitter-pat. She blinked, face relaxing as she was temporarily distracted by how flattering the warm lighting fell against his already handsome features. Swallowing audibly, her dark eyes flickered down to where she carefully set her cup aside. “Ah, even with the heat on, I swear it feels like a freezer.”
