Hi Shannon! I hope you're doing well, and I adore your blog. <3 I was just wondering, because I see you post about it every now and then, do you ship Harmony as a couple, or just a brotp? Personally, I prefer the canon couplings, but I was just curious because I don't think I've seen you post much Hermione/Ron or Harry/Ginny. If you have the time, and answer this, thank you so much! You're awesome!

Hi! And first, fjdkla;jlfsd thank you. I still can’t believe anyone follows me, omg.

But, yes, I do ship them romantically! Or, rather, I ship their connection and dynamic, and it never occurred to me to specify whether I like that specifically platonically or romantically, even as a kid. That’s actually true of 99% of my ships; I’m honestly apathetic as to which kind of relationship they have, as long as they have development together. That’s how I’ve always looked at ships, and Harmony in particular. Their connection was the one I fell in love with the most, so it seriously never existed as a conflict of shipping to me, or choosing one ship over the other, until I found the HP fandom — I just wanted more Harmony scenes, end of story.

And — I’ve talked about this before, but not in a long time, I don’t think — that HP was my first fandom and Harmony was my first fandom ship (there’s fanfiction by 12 year old me on ff.net, not even kidding), but at the time I was bullied pretty severely for being a Harmony shipper, and I wasn’t really able to handle it. So, while I’ve never had any big issue with the canon ships myself, that pretty much destroyed my tolerance for them, and I keep them blacklisted.

you don't sound creepy! if you're serious I am more than half seriously toying with the idea of making video versions of my science fair classes. and if anyone likes them, seeing where it goes after that. I think I would like to emulate a sort of fast talking style with relatively few jump cuts (more philip de franco than ze frank if that old school youtube reference makes any sense) so the editing would theoretically be fairly easy...

agreed, it's hard to plan that far ahead. my reasoning is pro: it's a couple weeks after quals so PARTY, con: it's close to when my folks visit and would probably mean an evening off work right up against a week off, when it's fter quals and I should be ramping the research back up. hmmmmmm.
