i feel insane. nadja and guillermo lived alone together for a year. and then when they came they didnt act any different. we all get thats not possible right. nadja was in pieces when laszlo was ‘human’ for a week, but she never got sad about missing him for a year and had a heart to heart with guillermo about the love trip he’s being forced to miss. who did she match her colored extensions with? im going to eat a brick

Sevika’s grief is soooo compelling shut UP

The way she stomps in looking angry, and then she looks for him in the chair, shakes her head and drinks

Now shes looking at the ground sad and tired, shoulders sagged as she grabs her tools and throws them on the desk. Her eyes are low, she doesnt want to look at the chair, which also kinda pisses her off. She needs to focus on something else. Its a bad look how Smeech poked at her damaged prosthetic to make her look weak.

But shes been drinking. A lot. And she’s frazzled, she cant even notch the screwdriver right, and its the one thing that pushes her over.

Her snarl is an agitated one. Her voice is choked up when she speaks to the chair but her head is bowed, she again finds it hard to look at. She’s about as vulnerable as she’ll ever allow herself to be, when Jinx announces herself (likely to protect sevikas pride or something like it, not hard to imagine sevika doesnt want anyone seeing her cry)

Sevika knows. Its clear on her face that she knows its Jinx that killed him, and she’s angry. The kid’s back is turned, and Sevika had warned him—

But for once, Jinx isnt looking for a fight. She’s feeling vulnerable too. She’s showing Sevika her back on purpose. Loyalty, she hears in her mind. In his voice. And really, it must suck for a kid to keep finding family and killing them off. She’s compared the two of them to herself and her father once. He’s probably gone, too.

Sevika takes the olive branch Jinx offers, but they dont face each other. She gives jinx her back as well.

Its quiet. Sevika gets to the root of it. He’s gone, and her world, their world is completely uprooted. (Something something about both jinx and sevika dont use the word ‘died’. “Vander shoved off” “[silco] dips out” it feels like a respect thing idk)

The fucking. Emotion on her face after she says it. Grief hidden in rage, the way she trembles and throws the chair with her whole body. (Jinx doesnt flinch, she feels she understands.) Jinx had allowed herself to cry, Sevika will not (but jinx has screamed too. Into the water).

Her anger fizzles out again, her shoulders sag and she just looks defeated. She confesses, because she knows jinx feels the same: she feels lost.

She turns around, but she’s still so open that she flinches at her own arm waving in her face. She looks lighter, in spite of it.

When Fionna and Cake said “A broken sword seeks the flame” and then had Huntress and Fionna trying to find their place in that, when my first thought was that Finn is the broken sword and the flame is death

One of my favorite things in Adventure Time is the humanization of Finn, that makes him so fleshed out as a character, namely his lack of concern for his safety shifting from the youthful subconscious belief that he’s invincible to actively seeking death and the catalyst being, of course, jakes death

They tell us many many times that Finn would not handle Jake’s death well, but seeing it is so so different. From Jake’s first croak dream and trying to bend reality to stop it, only to end that episode by saying that if Jake was alone in his dream then he’ll just never leave his side; its said like a joke but objectively its not a resolution to Finn’s obsession with Jake not dying, he doesnt deal with it. When he believes for just a second that Jake will die from Memow’s poison, and he instantly gets so so soft and cries without hesitation. Finn’s need to seek him in the afterlife (which Jake has actually told him to do, once or twice) and physically seeing himself as younger when looking for him because adult Finn didnt have Jake.

And then you get F and C season 2. You get to actually see our Finn for more than a moment. You see that he doesn’t stop adventuring, because he cant. You see him dreaming of dying over and over and over again and when he gets a companion in Fionna he says she’s his girl Jake. He never frowns when he dies. He tells Huntress he’s thinking of dying soon. He says that to her. Its the truth, of course, but its almost like he just wanted her to tell him she wants him around, because she refuses to tell him how she feels. He’s surrounded by the adoration of the whole of Ooo, but he says, knows, believes completely that no one loves him like Jake.

If Sasuke is your favorite Naruto character it BETTER be because he never stops being a scared little boy searching for direction and purpose, who doesn’t know how to hold anything close to him anymore, who had to struggle with constant anxiety and hypervigilance, who sacrificed his childhood to hate because he was told to, who pushed people he loved away because he spent a third of his life before becoming a ninja unlearning trust and seeing it as weakness, who fought and cried and bled to get to a goal only for it to be a lie, only for it to happen again, who doesn’t recognize himself anymore unless he’s next to naruto and he hates it and it scares him, who lashes out instead of holding close because he’s forgotten how

Hot take but i think the only reason the Nadjas (and by extension Laszlo) are so against Guillermo being turned is because vampire-soulmate nandermo would be loudly domestic and sickening when they aren’t busy having loud nasty sex

ok but the way Adrien is actually more suited to the Ladybug miraculous and Marinette is more suited to the Black Cat miraculous is crazy

Adrien/Chat Noir as he is is lovely, of course, and Adrien as a sheltered kid craves the freedom and spontaneity of Chaos, and he revels in it. But, as someone who was deprived of everyday Chaos, he craves it too much and occasionally needs to be reminded of when its too much or too far

Marinette/Ladybug does remarkably well under the pressure shes constantly dealing with, and shes incredibly reliable for Paris as a whole and the team of heroes she recruits. But Marinettes neurosis is exaggerated by the power of Creation and the role as The One Who Needs to be Infallible, her fingers are in a million pies, shes walking a tightrope and one mistake means EVERYTHING.

If adrien had the ladybug miraculous, instead of being a tightrope, it would be like handing him the reins for once in his life, giving him control he never had, letting him feel needed instead of desperate for his father’s attention and often worrying that ladybug didnt need him anymore. All of Paris needs him, HIM, and the people love him because of his actions and not an image constructed by his father. Generally, instead of the vaguely rebellious undertone it initially has for chat noir, it will feel very virtuous for him, give him purpose that he Chooses, plus! Tikki would be sooo good for him! He’s self deprecating whenever he’s not pleasing his father (for senti reasons ofc) but Tikki would always shut that shit down. He gets a bit of a backbone! He can’t immediately enforce boundaries but he gets there quickly, ducking away from clinging arms or hands, taking on his lessons like hero training, generally choosing to enjoy life in spite of his fathers efforts to craft him in whatever image. Not afraid to lie to his dad about plans, or dating kagami. Every time adrien would waver between something he wants or needs, tikki is quick to calm him, and tell him to listen to his heart, that there is no wrong answer, just pick the one he would regret not choosing, and hed get so much more confident!

With the Black Cat miraculous, marinette would be able to harness her natural chaos! Obsessed with her. She’s clumsy and forgetful, her anxiety takes things out of proportion a lot, but plagg is the ‘what the fuck ever’ that marinette needs to give her perspective! Instead of constantly being encouraged to see the absolute best in everyone and to always be the bigger person, shes allowed to be mad? Talk shit with plagg, him offering to put smelly cheese in chloes locker and marinette telling him not to waste his good cheese. Shes also allowed to be the Helper, which she loves to do, is pivotal to her character, being able to support and put her excess kinetic energy to use. She gets to be silly, because the whole of reality isnt on her back!

If they had these miraculous from the beginning it would be so different but still interesting, i think!
