I went to read again Daddy's Princess yesterday febore bed aND DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS ALREADY A SECOND CHAPTER????? OMG, I was so happy!!! (definitely expect my comment) and I wanted to ask some questions.

I don't know if you already have everything planned out or just going with the flow, and I don't know if you're going to write about their relationship more in depth or just throw some lore here and there so:

How did they come up with their dynamic? One caught the other fantasizing about it? How was the first time? Who came up with the nicknames or how did they discovered that they liked it? (especially for Dick, since I've never thought about Jason calling him princess) did they cringed the first time they tried their dynamic?

And on a most serious note, do they have a safe word? Have they ever used it? What happened?

And I don't know if I remember correctly, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember a conversation on the server when the whole idea came up, where Dick took advantage of the dynamic as a form of self harm and Jason, when noticed, went with it but acted nothing like Dick wanted to show him that that wasn't what he deserved it, do you plan and writing something like that? I'm asking becasue I see the whole potential of angst and I' love that and I'm so here for it JAJNDKANDF

I gotta say I'm not bringing any of this up to put any pressure on you to write anything at all, and if you were planning to answer some questions already, don’t worry about it (I'd like to find out for myself in due time JANDKJADN)

finally getting around to answering this, whew.

okay. first of all, thank you so much for this ask! I love getting asks about my fics in my inbox and I love being asked questions! I eat them up, I swear! AND YES, there is indeed two chapters of Daddy's Princess (and there will be plenty more to come for sure, so keep an eye out!).

so I ran your questions past Eli (aka @bunniesrule6) and we discussed the various responses.

how did Dick and Jason come up with the dynamic? so the general idea we have is that, sometime after getting together, Jason issued a few commands during sex without thinking and Dick responded without thinking. this led them to try a soft scene with Jason domming, and Dick subbing; and then later, Jason sat him down and they properly discussed a contract. one idea we tossed around is that Dick had bad prior experiences, which made it hard for him to express his more submissive side, until Jason came along.

who came up with the nicknames and how did they discover them? so for Dick, being called princess was something they went over during their BDSM contract discussions. they went thru Dick's kinks and desires, and Dick expressed a desire to feel "pretty" and from there, he realized he liked being called princess. for Jason, Dick slipped up during a scene and called him that. he was embarrassed at first, but Jason flowed with it. Jason does call himself Daddy in canon at least once, so we joked that maybe he does it out on patrol and it flips a switch in Dick's mind xD

do they have a safeword? have they ever used it? so, the safe word to begin with was Pinnochio (which I had reasons for). they slowly progressed to using the traffic light system and Dick has two non-verbal safewords (clapping his hands together and a clicker). Pinnochio is probably still their hard safeword but Jason checks in with Dick a lot with the traffic lights (when they're exploring new kinks or if Dick is responding oddly to the scene). as for using it, probably more than once near the start, while they were still learning each other's minds and bodies. Dick tended to feel embarrassed or ashamed of kinks, or get overwhelmed easily so he safeworded during kink exploration; or sometimes he'd try to use the BDSM as a form of punishment, and Jason would safeword to cut the scene short. since you asked tho, it may be relevant in an upcoming chapter.

do you plan on writing a chapter about Dick self-harming with BDSM? yes! you are right, there was a discussion in discord; as a matter of fact, there's a whole thread dedicated to this plot, and you can have a nosy thru it if you want, bc there's a lot of ideas in there and you can find all the deets on upcoming chapters too! (when I get them written).

Absolutely, here I go, little spoilery under the cut.

And I know in large chunks my text can be a bit hard to read on my theme, which is why I usually avoid text heavy questions, so if you want to read it but can’t, here’s a Google Docs link!

SO LIKE THIS IS PRETTY LONG BUT me and BoomPom mun have a little incident that’s gonna happen on the blogs between Iggy and Pom which ended up with Iggy totally taking a chunk outta Pom’s arm in this comic they drew a long time ago. I searched for like an hour to find it, but can’t so I’mma redraw you what I remember of it.

Bam, done, recreated. #tw: blood on this bit.

And I was like “Okay I’m ready for this plot, but dude, what if he was a werewolf and bit her. Or… werelizard thing.”

And they were like “Let’s do it.”

So like, in this AU, I think it at first started with only Iggy and Roy as werelizards, but then evolved into the whole Koopa family being them. Which actually can be partially peeped here (and yes! I did screencap part of my commissions page because IDK WHERE THAT ART’S SAVED).

Anyways from that, Iggy has no control over it and turns every night, and Roy (+ the other koopz) only lose control the standard once a month. Otherwise he keeps it pretty under wraps and can shift whenever he wants.

Tbh he’s kinda wasteful of it, like, he’ll turn for really silly reasons like he can’t open a pickle jar or something so he’ll just turn his arm and-ANYWAYS.

In this, Iggy’s REALLY cynical. Because he’s been trying for YEARS to control it like Roy does, and never can and never will because he’s messed up genetically and Bowz breaks it to Pom later on that it’s a lost cause for him to keep trying, whoops.

But from the way old first post, at some point in time, Iggy ended up accidentally biting Pom who ends up as cursed as him, turning every night. So he’s like “Welp, get used to it, sister, there’s no way to stop this thing.” And they argue. A Lot.

So she’s like “FINE I’LL FIGURE OUT HOW TO CONTROL IT ON MY OWN.”

And he’s like “FINE! DO IT THEN!!!”

She does.

And Iggy’s like “Oh, okay, dear Moto, why are you tormenting me like this, like she was bit a month ago, what is this nonsense?” (The reason why she’s biting herself in the first pic is cause she’s trying to snap herself back to her senses. Like when you try to stay awake so you keep slapping yourself? That kinda thing.)

Oh yeah, during this time, she’s been hanging out at Iggy’s every night since she turns every night and Boom’s like “Not sure I like you hanging out with that guy all the time.” And through Pom, Roy ends up meeting Boom and is like “Flirt Time™”.

Unfortunately during one of his Flirt Times™, it’s a little too close to a full moon, but Roy’s like “Nah it’s okay, I got it.”

And Boom’s like “u ok?”

He’s not. But he thinks he is. (This is also a redraw of an old pic I can’t find)

SO HE BREAKS SKIN, BUT ONLY A LITTLE BIT AND IS LIKE “Bye”. THEN HIDES IT FROM ANYONE CAUSE UHHHH it was only a little bit, not a full on bite so? It didn’t even draw blood, he thinks? Plus he’s a big guy, so he’d probably need like 5 full on bites for anything to happen, right?

WRONG, BUSTER BROWN.

Iggy finds out like a WEEK after and is like “UH HE SHOULD HAVE TURNED BY NOW, IT’S BEEN A FULL MOON CYCLE, WHAT IS GOING ON?”

So they break the news to Boom but Boom’s like “That doesn’t make any sense.” And then IMMEDIATELY turns.

As it turns out, Boom’s transformation is highly unpredictable and happens very very quickly with little to no warning. And then ADDED BONUS, BECAUSE BOOM’S GOT WEIRD WINGS, SPIKES, AND INVISIBILITY POWERS NORMALLY, WE GET A “Well this can’t get any worse” and THEN IT GETS WORSE.

ANYWAYS UHHH I’ve already rambled long enough, haha, whoops! Sorry! I still… could keep going… but I’m not gonna!))
