effective immediately, i am resigning from my position on the team of Kumitantei: Old-School Slaughter.

this has been a difficult decision for me to make. the work i did on episode 1 was some of the best moments of my life. but i love Kumitantei and the team behind it too much to allow what I have said and what Aeris had done to ruin the game for both the talented people who've been my coworkers for the past two years and for the fans of the game who wish to see it made. i will be resigning and handing all work on the game i have done over to mango factory.

i want to reassure people; because of the publisher backing it, kumitantei will still be in production. my resignation is not an indication that the game is cancelled or is in any danger of being so like other projects have been. i leave the story in the very capable hands of my extremely talented co-writers. you will still get the five other episodes you were promised.

re: my comments on Danganronpa: Despair Time and Kill/Cure

I'd like to apologise for the inflammatory comments I made on these two fan projects on this account. Posting these critiques publicly was out of line, uncalled for, and needlessly hostile to the talented people who work on both projects. The previous posts and their contents do not represent my views on these projects as they are today. A lot of passion and effort went into these Danganronpa fan projects and my dismissiveness to this was unnecessary.

The views I expressed are mine and mine alone and were not representative of the views of Kumitantei or Mango Factory, the team were unaware of them and I take full fault with the comments made. I wish the best for the creators behind these fan projects.

we need to have a conversation about how the "everyone is 12" theory of politics now doesn't only apply to conservative men who want to kick the bad guys' asses and then go home and eat a steak their bangmommy made just for them (NO VEGGIES!!!) but also to adult women who are literally afraid of other people having sex and being sexy. it's like there's been this massive regression among women in their 20s where we've gotten rid of feminism and replaced it with a new form of purity politics that requires never saying anything bad about another women unless you find a new and creative way to call her a whore. the misuse of "she caters to the male gaze" as a new form of enlightened slut shaming, labeling any woman who wears a short skirt or has sex with a man as "not a girls' girl" and "a pick me," the intense overreaction to celebrity affairs or even just shit like the summer house mess where a woman is now dating another woman's ex even though there was no overlap and the "relationship" was just kind of a situationship that fizzled but now these little girls are online demanding both people involved in the new relationship lose their jobs and not get any brand deals, the panic over mildly sexual content in literally any capacity like ads or an instagram post in a crop top, the compulsion to link everything back to the epstein files, the monthly meltdown over sex scenes on tv and in movies. everyone is 12 and AFRAID of sabrina carpenter.

Once again recommending that writers, especially newer writers, start ‘rubber ducking’

When you’re stumped and you don’t know what’s not working for your writing, or you don’t know where to go next, take out a rubber duck (or any equivalent friend/inanimate object, I like to use my dogs) and start explaining every single detail as if the rubber duck knows nothing about writing or about your story. Explain out loud what’s going on, what part you’re up to, why you’re stumped, and what you know you need to get to when you figure out how to get there

Somewhere along the line of putting it into words and externalising the thought process, it’s likely something will slot into place
