I'd like to wish Happy Easter to all who celebrate it! I used some of my time this week to crochet a few of these little bunny eggs. I absolutely love how they turned out. Too cute!

Easter Countdown day 6 - Egg Cookie dough truffles, Hot egg

April is a rainbow month, of sudden springtime showers. Bright with golden daffodils and lots of pretty flowers. Easter Egg Cookie Dough Truffles Ingredients 1/2 cup of butter, room temperature (see note) 3/4 cups packed brown sugar 2 cups all purpose flour (see note) 2 tsps vanilla extract 14 oz sweetened condensed milk 1 cup mini chocolate chips pink, blue, purple, and white candy melts Instructions In the bowl of a large stand mixer, cream the butter and the brown sugar until light and fluffy, about two minutes. Beat in the vanilla. Slowly add the flour, scraping down the sides as necessary. With the mixer still running, slowly add in the sweetened condensed milk. You may need to stop the mixer periodically to scrape down the sides.  (DO NOT SCRAPE THE CAN WITH A SPATULA) Once it is fully combined, stir in the chocolate chips. Form the dough into one inch balls, and then shape into eggs. Place on a wax paper lined pan and cover loosely with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight. Melt the candy melts according to the directions on the bag. Keeping the truffles in the refrigerator, and removing only three or four at a time, dip them in the candy melts one at a time with a fork. Gently tap off any excess chocolate and let dry on wax paper. Notes The butter should be soft, but not at all melted. You should be able to push your finger into it but not all the way through the stick. To achieve room temperature butter quickly, cut up the butter in one inch pieces and leave out on the counter for a half hour. Please note: To prevent risk of e. coli, spread the flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Allow to cool and then proceed to use in this recipe. Hot Boilded Egg This game is a variation of Hot Potato, which is a variation of musical chairs. Fill a plastic egg with something to give it a little weight. Tape it closed very securely. Players sit or stand in a circle. When the music starts, the players pass the "hot boiled egg" around the circle. When the music stops, the person left holding the egg is out. Play continues until only one person is left, and that person is the winner. Egg Dying

Try this cute craft from Meaghan Mountford: For bunny, glue a pink pom-pom on a clean egg. Cut out ear shapes from white foam or card stock, dab flat ends of ears with glue, and adhere to the top of the egg. When completely dry, draw eyes and whiskers on the egg with a black marker. For carrot, dye egg orange and let dry completely. Cut 5 pieces of ribbon, each about 10 inches long. Stack the ribbon pieces, fold in half, and staple at the fold. With scissors, curl ribbons. Fold a small tab in the ribbon at the point where you stapled. Dab glue on the tab and adhere to the top of the wider end of the egg. Use invisible tape to hold the ribbon in place until the glue dries. If you use card stock instead of foam, add and cut a tab at the end of each ear to more easily glue to the egg. For the carrot, you can also use a pre-made ribbon gift topper in lieu of cutting and curling your own. Click to Post

We dyed eggs at my house today. My sister and her family (husband and son) joined us, this was my personal attempt at a "cute" bunny... More like demon bunny if you ask me
