If you had complete control over the ST fandom, what nature of posting/headcanons would you put a stop to first

is it too obvious if i say Will hate 🧍🏽‍♂️all of it is so fucking dumb. I've yet to see a complaint about him that isn't just poorly concealed homophobia. even the people who's "moral" reason for not liking Will is hating Noah are constantly spewing homophobia and antisemitism

a close second would the genre of posts that's basically just stealing other people's plot lines and giving them to mlke lol

Gotta say, about the ”you’re my mission”, is that every time it’s brought up I go feral, because. Steve is Bucky’s mission. He’s always been his mission. Since he met that scrappy kid he’s had one mission in life: protect Steve. And I go insane, because I always read it as either a) Bucky knowing this is true, but somethings wrong about it, or b) Hydra twisting and taking away Bucky’s core with their torture.

Just- aughhhhh

WHY WOULD YOU SAY THIS TO MEEEEEE RAAAHH

You're so right because Steve always HAS been Bucky's mission. And we KNOW Bucky, at the very least, was beginning to remember Steve. They show us that with the "I knew him" scene. Because he did. He KNEW Steve. Fought along side him for the entirety of their lives. It was always SteveAndBucky.

Him repeating it says so much to me. He's terrified. He knows there's something about Steve. But he can't listen to it because if he does his mission is compromised and he'll be punished again.

And it's so telling that the first thing he does after making the decision to break free is to save Steve.

He doesn't know who he is. Doesn't know his own name or how old he is.

But he knows Steve. Maybe not completely. He probably doesn't remember everything. But it's an instinct buried so deep under his skin that not even the near century of torture and brainwashing Hydra inflicted onto him can erase it

And it's to protect Steve
