“Didn’t think you’d be overly excited about a beanie but I’m glad you like it..” She couldn’t help but fuss with it a little bit. Reaching up and adjusting it a few times so it sat properly. She had to fix Velvet’s hair a bit and carefully situated her ears. “There we go! Perfect! Yeah..they are really comfortable, you should see the closet full of them I have back home. You open that thing up and get buried in an avalanche of beanies.” Perhaps an exaggeration..or perhaps not.

“Hmm? Oh the holes? I’m just really good with...wait no bad joke. I took a guess. We’ve spent enough time together and I’m pretty good with that sort of thing so I just decided to wing it and see what happened. Might not be as good as it could have been but next one will be better!”

Can I just give a small shout out to @bunwithabox? She’s a great and sweet mun who has an even sweeter muse and deserves so much more attention than she gets!

Winter was pinching the bridge of her nose when she heard the soft tap of a mug on the table and smelled the coffee before she opened her eyes and saw it was set in front of her.

“Oh...thank you.”

While she doubted the caffeine would help with this sort of headache, Winter was not about to decline the offer.

“Uhm..well thanks Velvet…but are you sure Coco doesn’t mind me borrowing another one of her dresses…how many of these things does she have that she’s never worn” she huffed a little and tried to push down her fluffy skirts “This is eerily similar to that maid dress I tried on..except I didn’t kill myself trying to get into this one..but did you really have to give me this ridiculous hair bow? The parasol I kinda like though..”

It was almost immediately after Winter opened her eyes that she realized she was in a hospital room. After one spent enough time trying to stay out of them--even when it was best that she stay put--Winter was aware enough to know what one looked like without lingering confusion. What was unclear, however, was which one she was at. Clearly not Atlas; she had been in Vale on a mission and to go back there would take far too long.

Rather than continue to rest, as surely the worst of her injuries had been tended to, Winter tried to push herself up and out of the bed. It proved to be somewhat difficult when her shoulder pulled painfully in the process. She wanted answers, and she wanted out of there. 

Sitting still was not an option.
