…and then Director No. 1 came to play shops.
Successfully runs a warehouse that supplies a ridiculous amount of shops with shoes, employ hundreds of staff, has a huge data base of keenie customers – but has absolutely no idea how to use a till and couldn’t identify a bunyon if his life depended on it!!
And of course it had to be Tuesday. Dear ol’ Mrs Buggins’ day for trying on all the size 38 boots known to Moshulu. Her feet never squeeze into them, but we both know all she ever wants is someone to talk to. She’ll have him up and down those stairs at least 6 times – and with no sale at the end of it! How on earth is Director No. 1 going to cope with that??
At least there will be someone to run over to the deli for me, take the box’s to the post office, hoover the stairs, put all the stock in alphabetical order, clean the windows, sort out the re-cycling clear up the basement. ..…..bit too mean you think?
Bless him – I feel sorry for him already!!
Fortunately the day was quiet and we had a good laugh! It was great to get to know him a bit. Quite a good bloke really. Can’t manage more than one customer at a time mind you – but then I’m no good at adding up big numbers and talking like a grown up in meetings.
