“Thieves Steal Bolts of Cloth,” Montreal Star. March 13, 1942. Page 3. ---- Burglars Pierce Wall To Enter Shop and Take $4,000 Worth of Goods ---- Burglars who broke a 20-inch square hole through a 12-inch brick wall at the drygoods shop of Harry Fisher, 4129 St. Lawrence boulevard, during the night, removed $4,000 worth of cloth in bolts, and escaped while police were on the way to the store. 

Evidence that the burglars were disturbed in their work was seen in the yard where several bolts of cloth were found abandoned. The automobile used by the burglars was stolen from the garage of R. Goulet, 4161 Laval avenue, 

A citizen who saw the goods being removed from the rear of the premises at 4 o'clock this morning became suspicious and phoned police. Radio Constables R. Jones and J. Theriault investigated and found some of the goods in the yard. The stolen car was later discovered at St. Urbain street and Pine avenue.
