What I love about the epilogue hug and kiss are the adorable implications 😭

1. Tav and SH always kiss before leaving and now it’s expected and a habit that she anticipates

2. SH falls asleep while cuddling/hugging Tav

she’s a softie and it kills me

The fact that she just clears her throat and Tav knows she's asking for kisses?!? 🥰 The implied fact that they do this every time they part (even to just go do other chores around the house???)

2. SHADOWHEART FALLS ASLEEP IN TAV'S ARMS. It's canon! Tav holding her during a group gathering, or after a long day of work, and she feels safe enough to just tuck her chin in Tav's shoulder and doze off??? Knowing Tav will just carry her wherever she needs to go??? On the rare night that Tav isn't home for any reason- Shadowheart having trouble falling asleep? my heart...

I love how happy she is when you offer to bring home the owl bear, too. She lights up like a little kid, and I imagine it's what little Jenevelle was like, too. Epilogue Shadowheart has my (And Tav's!) entire heart and soul- it's the reason I wanted NLS in the first place. Just to explore what her life might look like, now that she's finally happy and at peace.

Bonus that absolutely no one asked for but I am also obsessed with Jen and Serena cuddling in Consonance:

Late nights spent staying in together and watching movies on the couch, Jen always falling asleep and snoring gently into Serena's neck, and then swearing she was up for the whole movie 😅 Shar never carried her to bed, and I think she kinda lives for the romance a little bit.

Or Serena playing with Jen's hands idly while her head rests in Jen's lap. Jen loves to stroke her hair, and to steal the occasional kiss when Serena's least expecting it.

...Or the way Jen likes to drape herself against Tav and put all her weight on her if they're out at the bar late and her shoes are hurting her.

I'm just a sucker for how they go out of their way to make each other comfortable. Jen stealing kisses from Serena's shoulders while they're out with friends, or Serena holding her hand under the table at dinner... Jen massaging Serena's free hand while she drives and bringing it to her lips...

Just the little touches that scream "I love you" in their simplicity and sincerity.

“Don’t move.” Tav promises. “Give me five minutes, and I’m yours.” 

She leaves in such a hurry, she doesn’t hear Shadowheart’s quiet murmur of, “Yours…I’d like that.” 

and then chapter 3’s:

“...What should I call you?” Tav asks in earnest against her lips, holding her close, still in disbelief. 

“...Yours.” 

LOVED the third chapter, it was adorable and who needs gay sex when you have domesticity. 😭Thank you for writing and sharing!

In reference the the warding bond rings for non-pain sensations:

Shadowheart feeling and being jealous about Tavs happiness in seeing Althaea 😂💀

more so when she leaves after dinner leaving the two of them alone (assuming they have the set then? I can’t remember if those were the wedding rings). She’s NOT happy!

Lmaooo they didn’t have the rings yet! Serena will either propose with them or present them at the wedding. But if they did:

Tav would just suddenly get a wave of bitterness from Shadowheart in the other room 😅

If Shadowheart wants Tav’s attention…well, she gets a spicy idea…. So she plucks a smut book off the shelf for inspo, goes to work in the privacy of their bedroom, and suddenly Tav is mid-story with Althaea when she suddenly feels INTENSE arousal. Like, she’s sweating in front of Althaea,

She promptly excuses herself from dinner to investigate and mostly check on Shadowheart.

She does not resurface until the next morning.

She does feel a very smug, deeply satisfied sense washing over her as a very spent Shadowheart wraps herself around her to go to sleep that night.

Not 100% sure about this but I saw someone online mention that if you do a Shadowheart Origin playthrough, it’s said in the epilogue party that the name “Shadowheart” is a name only a few people use, so maybe she uses Jenevelle later on! I’ve also seen Minthara call her Jenevelle in the epilogue party but idk what’s that about. Personally it makes sense from a secrecy POV, the name Shadowheart probably sticks out so much more than Jenevelle 😭

but this is all to say: it’d be funny to have two Jens if you go with naming the second coming of Seluna baby Jenevelle lol

I was operating under the assumption that she kind of forsook that name, for herself at least- based on what she said about not wanting to erase “Shadowheart” from her identity. Well, I suppose it makes sense that she might want to be called that again, eventually.

got around to reading “consonance,” just as chapter two came out, another great one! Jealousy and angst! I’m excited for the ending!!

girl you hardly know Shadowheart, she has this crazy ex she’s still involved with, and is angry over a sweet girl not being toxic, have some self respect 😭😭😭

nah lmao I kid!! but realistically it’s been a couple of months since Tav moved to Reithwin now! So hopefully that makes her sad gay flailing a little less pathetic. Only a little tho.

Also Shadowheart is going through it. Guard is up. But all will be revealed next chapter! Hopefully not in the exact direction everyone seems to think!! 😊
