I’m finally rewatching generation kill and I’m on ep 5 (burning dog), and fucking honestly the entire lead up to the ambush on the bridge is so tense?? It’s so fucking good?? With everything going on between the officers and the men, it’s like u can almost feel the tension dripping off them it’s crazy. And on the lead up, when they’re driving towards the bridge, the feeling steadily starts to grow on you and they achieved that feeling without a score!! they just used decent writing and solid acting to really emphasise the feeling of anxiousness and it’s so good!!

And then when it starts it’s absolute chaos. Like don’t even get me started on Colbert’s, “there’s men in the trees” line cos that shit was delivered perfectly like honestly, goosebumps every time. Plus you’ve got everything thats going on in the background—Ray and the Humvee, the patrol not being able to get out, the shooting, there’s so much going on and it’s chaos and it’s so good?? I really fucking love that scene. so so so good for so many reasons, holy shit I love it

Colbert beings walking towards the Iraqi villager’s home with the humrats, stopping about halfway there. He kneels and takes off his Kevelar. Espera follows behind him. Two Iraqi girls run up to them. COLBERT [handing the humrats to Espera] Come on, it'll be good for you. COLBERT Donee. Espera kneels next to Colbert. ESPERA As-salāmu `alaykum. Here. Here you go. Espera hands humrats to two young Iraqi girls, who run off giggling.

Here we have more proof that Brad is just a giant squishy dork with a heart of gold ..I loved this scene , just showed the side of Colbert we did not get to see a lot

Burning Dog Ep 5...I have some feelings

“Our orders are clear. I would not be helping this platoon by questioning him or hesitating in any way. The CO reached out to me. I have to honor that, right?” The look on Nate’s face when he said this , there is this resigned look …You can almost here his Belief in the Corps crack and it also brings into it the whole loneliness of command …and don’t get me started on the look on Gunny Wynn’s face …

It seems like in less amount of time, the more non-sense, cruel, cold corruption happens. And what hurts me the most is, God created this world for happiness, love, and peace yet we, humans abuse those terms for selfish needs.

When I saw a video about a guy telling about his reaction to the "Burning Dog", what he said really opened my eyes. I'd admit, I'm afraid of death; to be alone. And eventually we all will. Scary, isn't it? However, when he said "If this is the last year we live, then I thank God, 'cause the way we're treating nature itself.. why wouldn't this be the last year we live?" Frankly, I agree with him. The way.. this world has become-- it has gotten to the point where, I thought an average human mind can even dare to imagine. It needs to stop. Its sick. Its wrong. Its A Sin.
