@burningalma // 『 Takeru 』// cont. from here
Anger was an emotion Takeru was overly familiar with. The burning in his veins, making fire course all through his fire in one short snap of fingers, consuming him. He was familiar with it, but it didn’t mean he had got any better at reigning it back or at learning how to keep it in control.
What was worst, in this case, was that the person his anger was meant to wasn’t here–no longer was, because Doctor Kogami was dead, but Takeru had years and years of hatred and anger for him that he didn’t know what to do with now.
Revolver–Kogami Ryoken–had been a child, too, he had nothing to do with the Incident, except for the fact that he’d called the authorities and actually saved them. Takeru knewthat now.
But his anger didn’t care. It listened to no reason.
“Hey, tell me, Kogami–” He should know better, than to fight, but he still seized the man by his shirt, eyes intense and furious, voice low but even. “What should I do with all this anger now?” A question he kept asking himself, feeling lost, again, the tiny scars in his knuckles aching and reminding him of feelings that weren’t as gone as he’d want them to be. There was a clog in is throat.
In truth, he just wanted someone to blame, someone he could unload all this hatred and anger at, and god he wanted to pin this all on Ryoken. Because he couldn’t let it go.
But he did let go off Ryoken’s shirt, gritting his teeth. This wasn’t how he wanted things to be, this wasn’t right. “–Dammit–” He clenched his fists, lowering his head, before moving to the closest wall and swinging his fist at it, concrete meeting his knuckles and making pain shoot through his arm, frustrated tears gathering at the corner of his eyes.
“Fucking dammit, dammit !”
After that previous meeting online Ryoken had been rather aware of the fact that Soulburner... that Homura Takeru probably wouldn't be anything close to be happy to see him around. And so he did his best to just not run into the other one when there needed to be a meeting between him and Playmaker offline.
But he also had been aware, that he wouldn't be able to avoid the other teen forever.
So he most likely wasn't that surprised when the other one grabbed him by him by his shirt. He wasn't even surprised by the anger he could see in the other ones eyes. What did surprise him was the choice of words the other one used. For once he was actually the first one calling him like that with all the others sticking either to Ryoken or Revolver. And than there was the fact that Homura was asking that him of all people. For a moment Ryoken wasn't even sure if the younger one even wanted an answer at all.
Still his eyes were focused on the other one with no clear emotions visible on his face, while the other one let go of him again before turning against the wall. A sigh left his lips, while he approached the other one with slow steps.
"I can't tell you what to do with your anger. If it's your anger that keeps you going direct it at someone else. If it only chains you to the past let it go."
It was a lesson they probably all had to learn over the last months as well.
"I the end it's your decision to make. No one could do that for you."
