i have to admit, i don't know much about thrask in canon but man. your thrask is just so multi-faceted and he seems so deep and compassionate. and like wow in our thread he gives me so many feels like he's almost fatherly towards ros and ros has never had that. A+ job as always tbh.

How am I doing with my character?

|| That thread gives me so many feels too. I’m glad that I’m doing my job of fathering characters properly, though that’s entirely not what I had planned in the beginning... the thing just happened and now I cry a lot. I actually have some plans for the future, too.

like....ros is the face. he’s the slick charm and clever manipulation that keeps their coffers full and their reputation spotless, that makes sure their allies are pleased and their enemies are unsettled--the one who makes sure they have allies in the first place. people know he isn’t harmless (nobody’s harmless, especially not someone like him) but next to merryn, they can almost let themselves pretend he’s not the one they have to worry about. he’s even more dangerous when he’s being underestimated, and he knows how to use that to his advantage.

because merryn is the hand that holds the knife. they’re the conductor in the pit, keeping the orchestra playing music that ros dances to so beautifully. they make sure people and equipment and supplies are where they need to be, make sure no report goes unread, no information overlooked. it’s a toss-up on any given day whether their hands will be stained with ink or blood, and some days (a lot of days) it’s both, because they can delegate work until tevinter takes over again but at the end of the day, some things have to be seen to personally.

          Layos, a powerful Dorwinion merchant and secret emissary of Mordor who long consorted with the powerful Wine-Lords, assured her that all is going by her Master's plan. The spell on Bladorthin II was successful, his ascendancy to King of Dorwinion is in sight, and with power out of the hands of the Realm-Master and in control of the Nameless (as they call the Dark Lord here), Dorwinion will ally with Mordor and take the North. Confidence rushes the long strides taken through Szrel-Kain's markets; her black cloak sways about her, an air of foulness follows each step. To Layos's estate she returns from Mordor with treaties to be signed by the forthcoming king.
