Feeling rather isolated without any internet connection still so I decided to begin sharing some of my many bizarre tales of Disneyland: Story One: After arriving at Disney at, in my good friend Austin's words: "At the crack ass of dawn, only to realize we were the only ones stupid enough to show up this fucking early" and all this in 46 degree weather no less. The gods then proceeded to continue smiling on us when it began to rain, and only half of us had hoods on our coats. We then had booked a rather expensive "Holiday Tour." We wait outside in the rain for 45 minutes to then be forced to miserably saunter across the main entrance plaza from Disneyland to California Adventure, to then continue to stand in the rain while our tour guide told us such things as "This is a Christmas tree. Walt Disney also had Christmas Trees when he was living here. I bet you didn't know that" as well as "You may notice that this Christmas tree has blue tinsel garland on it. This is the only tree in both parks with tinsel on it." All this while we are quietly shivering and whimpering in the rain, thinking, "We payed 75$ a person for this?!" Next, we were able to reach one of the few actual highlights of the tour, where we each received an absolutely delicious marshmallow coated in chocolate, peppermint and many other coatings of pure goodness as well. Following that brief moment of joy, we all are forced to continue waking through the attic wind and cold, the likes of which us in Southern California rarely experience. We now return to the Disneyland park and are slowly herded through several hours of boring information such as what was mentioned above. We then are all crammed into a small soaking boat, like sardines, for the new "Jingle Cruise" which turns out to be nothing more then the regular Jungle Cruise with some holiday related awful jokes and puns and a few gorillas in Santa Hats. After dripping through more of the park we go onto the Haunted Mansion Holiday which indeed is the second and possibly only other highlight of our pitiful tour. The ride was excellent, but we still are forced to push on. After going through a very short "comfort break" where we are allowed to use the restroom and sit down for a total of 45 seconds before the tour guide starts giving us a look. Are penultimate event for our tour is the riding of the holiday It's a Small World. After the ride finished we are able to get a "warm beverage" with a "free" souvenir cup! (If you couldn't tell the excitement here is sarcasm) We now took our warm beverages to our specially reserved VIP seats for the special holiday parade. Now this truly could've been the biggest highlight of an overall bust of a tour, but alas luck was not in our favor. We were able to recover a gingerbread cookie as well as a commemorative pin. We then sit down and watch marching bands from various high schools slip and slide past as us as many of them nearly kill themselves on the now very slick ground. As we are waiting a cast member comes over and tells us how the parade is running late because "Mrs. Clause forgot to take her cookies out of the oven, and is running back to the North Pole to pull them out." After getting impatient, finally the parade commences, or so we would think. We see many of the characters as well sat the mr and mrs Clause drive by in 2mph cars in order to stretch out a 3 minute song in order to complete what we realize is our pre-show cavalcade. After that misery was over, we found out that the parade was canceled due to the weather, and my very pissed off friend stormed off. I shall continue this story later when I have more time and hopefully some internet. I hope you enjoyed
