Did you end up getting 100 books by woc?
I'm still planning on reading at least 50 books by WoC, but I want to read 100 books total this year. I'm still adding to the list, though, as I only have 35 books by WoC lined up so far.
When Mari and I meet, we better greet each other with Zoolander quotes.

Happy birthday, dear! :D
In The Parting of the Ways, Rose, as the Bad Wolf, says "Everything must come to dust. All things. Everything dies. The Time War ends." Meta in light of the 50th?
I don't wanna talk about it.
Morgane and I just watched The Fires of Pompeii and it's basically exactly what you wrote about sacrifice because Donna helps the Doctor make a horrible choice, but one that's ultimately necessary. But it still has the heart of the show in it because Donna can convince him to save that family in the end. Just juxtaposing the episodes together is really interesting in terms of the Doctor/companion relationship.
I was waiting for them to find a couple of children, like that family they showed in the beginning, and save them! I thought that would have been beautiful. I mean, if the interface was able to get them to Gallifrey in the first place, even though it was time locked, she should have been able to get them to the battle itself.
It would have been so moving and beautiful to see that.
