Elsanna Week Day 7- I Love You
God this is sappy as fuck. Anyway, Elsanna is the only pairing I’ve ever written poetry for and this and the story that follows were especially written for my sweet Burrito Babe <3 I hope you enjoy it <3
You are the warmth in my chest
Blooming at your every touch
A sunflower’s petals
Lacing through my veins
The ice recedes
The howling in my head
Begins to ease
Your hand on my cheek
And I no longer feel weak
Anna you are my sunshine
The breeze on a stifling day
The rainbow before the rain
And the rainbow after too
Your smile takes my breath away
Leaves me feeling faint
But my heart never pounds harder
You make me feel alive when all the ice in the world tells me otherwise.
“Anna?” Elsa called from the doorway, “What are you doing?” She tilted her head as she came closer and Anna turned to face her.
Tears lanced down her cheeks and Elsa’s eyes widened before narrowing in concern, “Anna? Anna what happened?”
A chill came from her sister but Anna threw herself into Elsa’s embrace nonetheless. Elsa pulled her close and they sunk to the floor, “Shh, Anna, shh, what is it my sweet Anna?” The words Elsa whispered seemed to only make Anna’s sobs worse, Elsa hummed in concern and rocked Anna back and forth.
Elsa’s fingers wound through Anna’s hair and eventually Anna began to quiet.
“I love you,” Elsa pulled back a fraction of an inch in surprise, but Anna wasn’t done. She pulled back and cupped Elsa’s cheek just as the poem said, “I will always be here for you. No matter what, whenever you need some warmth, I’m here for you.”
Elsa’s eyes searched Anna and the pieces started to fall into place. A blush rose on her cheeks and she looked away from Anna, “You, uh, well, you weren’t supposed to see that.” The chill receded from the room as Anna’s sniffles ended.
Anna tilted Elsa’s face back up and placed a soft kiss to her lips, “Well, I’m glad I saw it.”
“You- You are?” Elsa leaned up into the next kiss and a smile began to tug at her lips. Anna tasted of fresh rain and the chocolates that heralded the oncoming of summer.
“Yes,” Another kiss, “I want to be here for you.” The next kiss landed on Elsa’s neck and she gasped at the softness of Anna’s actions. “I want to be your warmth.” Anna pushed Elsa back and, dazed, Elsa looked up at her in surprise.
“You liked it?” Anna nodded and bent to press another kiss against Elsa’s lips.
“I make your heart pound?” The words rushed out over Elsa’s skin and, indeed, Elsa’s heart was pounding.
She laced her fingers over Anna’s and pulled their joined hands up to her left breast. Anna quirked an eyebrow until she felt the thumping under her palm. Her eyes widened and Elsa smiled, “I love you Anna. Sometimes my magic is too much. It feels like I’m being consumed, but you’re always here. You’ve always a hand to hold.”
Anna’s whole being softened even more and she lay down over Elsa, her head on her sister’s beating heart.
They didn’t move from their positions for a long while. If Anna was the sun, then Elsa was the moon. Anna’s light reflected off of Elsa and made her shine all the brighter. Anna needed a place to hide sometimes, and nowhere was better than the dark side of the moon.
Because nothing is better, after a day out in the snow, than a warm patch of sun and some hot coco.
And thus ends Elsanna week, September, 2015. I hope everyone had a lovely week. Thank you all for the lovely comments and messages, it means a lot to this little gay writer :3
