1. Thank God I was not the only one to notice that Ikemoto for some reason LIKES Moegi, I thought it didn't make sense, why make a shinju out of her? Initially I thought because of team 10. But he is not doing anything w them right now. Literally 4 months of konohamaru/matsuri convo! (ridiculous lmao)

2. I wonder if ikemoto is leaving a lot of stuff out because of the potential anime. I know Nng operated under the same guide, leaving all character moments for the anime team. I think it's an awful decision, the anime is on hiatus, and the people have 0 patience. Why is himawari with team 10? Since when did moegi had feelings for konohamaru? What did they all do in the timeskip? Is just too much for a monthly manga that wastes panel time on characters walking to doors 😭

I think moegi crush and matsuri's desire to devour konohamaru are undeserved (and really part of why it bothers me how brt is handling the shipping part of the manga) because suddenly moegi got these hidden feelings since when? Naruto?? We only got some lines from her that could've easily been interpreted as a friend worrying over another friend. Before that she was essentially a filler character. All character development she's receiving is via matsuri (her shinju counterpart ) all we see of konohamaru is about naruto/shika and neo t7. He was oblivious of those feelings, yet for some reason ikemoto decided he should be her target. Not anything more sensible like you know.. THE TEAM SHE HAS BEEN TRAINING FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS???

Basically even if konohamaru and moegi are canonically friends (allegedly) her crush on him comes out of nowhere. Ikemoto pulled it out of his ass.

I do not mind shipping discourse and talk again, my problem is that is always the girl character bearing the burden of conveying the romantic feelings for another character to the audience, it makes the feeling one sided even if the author plans to make it mutual

Why can't love be a part of the plot? I don't mind it. I feel people's anger at love plots appearing in boruto is misdirected a little bit. It's fine for sarada and sumire to get crushes. But why can't we see boruto's feelings about it again???

imagine if we got a glimpse of boruto's inner feelings re:sarada in the same manner sarada does? It would kill all annoying ship wars people complain about. It doesn't need a full chap explanation, literally a few lines can put a rest to the discussion and don't come at me that mm but boruto has the weight of the world on his shoulders everyone hates him blabbla, so does sarada she was the one to send her father that also got treed and her mom is all alone again, she has her own shit going on too (or at least should)

But is always the female character doing all the emotional and sometimes physical chasing while the boy does nothing? On top of that the girl does not recieve other personality traits sometimes. Why tf does shonen does that.

I feel it's some sort of brain washing going on japanese kids, like subtly telling the boys they never have to work on themselves because there will always be a girl ready to drop everything and compete for his attention

7 layers

whenever i go to taco bell (about three or four times a year?) i always want to get a 7 layer burrito and a spicy potato soft taco.  

then i think, “i always get that” and make myself try something new.  today i tried a chicken enchirito. why did i do that? it was not that great. it was not a 7 layer burrito. i was not satisfied. 

the moral of this story, fuck what you should do. buy the burrito you like!!!
