For you to remember:
1. You're everything he could ever want but people are self absorbed and have their own issues and that clouds even the best things in life. 2. He just got out of a really messy relationship and you don't know the details and he's about to leave and any feelings he has might be too painful or confusing and it's just easier to shut it down. It's childish but easier. 3. He's pretty insecure and that's not on you. You're mature and developing 💃💃💃 into a strong confident adult and there are gonna be a lot of people around you who can't keep up. 4. People are fragile and selfish and you will meet a lot of people in life who may be really cool and amazing but they can also be fragile and selfish too. But don't forget that there are also people who have the strength to face and work through their problems and are secure enough to love and deserve someone like you. 5. You just started college and just turned 18. Don't forget that what's happening now is just the start. You have so much more to look forward to and just because things are changing right now in amazing ways doesn't mean it will all change at once. Give yourself some time. You're too mature for the usual bullshit and will have to wait to meet a guy who will be dope af and have his own goals and ambitions and agenda. And he'll know what he wants, and that will be you, and he'll be okay with that and find a way to fit you into his life because he wants you to be a part of it. 6. Again, you're young, and learning. You don't need to get everything right on the first few tries. Don't let it sour how you see anything, relationships or otherwise, in your future. 7. I'm so proud of the woman you're becoming and I'm so proud to know you and call you my closest friend, and soulmate. I love you so much and I will never tire of reminding you of how amazing you are. 8. Speaking of soulmates; it's amazing that we met and that we lived so close and look at where we are now.
