“BUSH CALLS JOBLESS,” Toronto Globe. March 29, 1933. Page 16. ---- Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., March 28. - Spring work in the Algoma bush will absorb 700 jobless men, it is believed here. The Eastern Lumber Company will engage 50 men for spring work at Ranger Lake, in addition to 200 required for the spring drive. Three hundred are needed for the Abitibi Company's drive on Spanish River and Michipicoten. Other bush work will probably bring the number up to 700.
