Another awesome Ford Improv workshop- Man, I’m lucky to have a @lifeatford where I can share my passion to help people use improv to improve their work cultures. People who will help spread the gospel of ‘Jump In, I got yer Back’ mentality that is Improv. Trust. It’s at the core of every successful team. Unwavering trust so you can JUMP, even when you’re afraid. Today, I led a team of 4 Improv Coaches, 1 a Newbie, to share improv skills w/about 30 OGC leaders, who, as lawyers in compliance, had their own unique way to approach improv. What’s that about the rules? Wait, how do we Win again? Haha, Yes, I get it and Jump in! Winning doesn’t matter here, don’t worry, and don’t focus on the deep dive on rules, just TRUST. And they did. By the end of 90 min of games, we had the BEST Group Mind experience playing a silent round of “Count up”... you know, where you count up, as a group, and if two toss out number at same time you start over... Vince Sabatini coached ppl to slow down, and several failed tries to get past 13/14, suddenly we broke through and made it past to 15! You could FEEL the shared “Yes!” As the Group was in Sync... suddenly we easily counted as a group up to... 40 I think, and when we all opened our eyes, you could hear the WOWS around the circle as people GOT IT.
