Repairing a HDMI end solder-less version.(screw down hdmi breakout board)
Sometimes you can't simply replace a hdmi cable you have no option to replace the end, but you lack the skills to sing a new hdmi tip on. Enter the Screw Down HDMI Breakout board method! My "other end" is 40 ft away so I'm not running a super long hdmi cable to install in the traditional way. this is the one-end-only method. You will need: 1 female to female hdmi connector 2 hdmi beakout board 3. exacto/utility knife 4. mulitmeter 5 painters tape for labeling the wires, paper to keep track of the mess. Connect the F/F hdmi connector to the busted end, then the breakout board. Carefully cut the OUTSIDE of the hdmi wire to expose the 19 wires inside. Now wire by wire, test the wire continuity to the breakout board. the terminals are labelled 1-19, so test and label each wire. JUST THE TIP! some wires are damaged, thats why your here, but I found wiggling the bad hdmi end would cause enough connection to detect, then you have the process of elimination! Good luck
