i actually wish that cyrian had died and his reappearance with anaris was a chance to tempt bellara at bringing him back to life and being reunited with her brother. in this sense, luring the other veil jumpers and turning them into demons works better if cyrian is undead in some form. it would also make bellara's story about accepting grief and moving on from her regret more meaningful if she did lose him in the first place
