But whatever, basically, there is a time and place for expression of opinion even on the internet. And in the face of people who enjoys something is not the place to talk about how much you hate it. I mean god knows how much hate for Fi, Nosepass, and Miko I see when I look at those tags when those posts shouldn't be there. Go right ahead and blog about how much you dislike the character or series or whatever if you're really so inclined but for god's sake don't tag it with their name. People that like the character or whatever will be looking at it and you're not making anyone happy with you wailing on something they like.
But then to take that to the next level and actively seek out something positively related to a series or character or what-have-you and then proceed to announce how much it sucks and you dislike it and how crap everyone that likes it's taste is?
I can't go to a single thing related to Hero Factory without seeing a Bionicle Priest pretty much screaming "THE LIGHT OF MATA-NUI COMPELS YOU" at everybody and how much that it needs to end as soon as possible because they're under the illusion that once it ends, Bionicle comes back.
First of all what are you even doing here? Hell I'm not even going to talk about that bit because I would hope that I wouldn't have to.
Second of all, how selfish can you be? I mean we're three years into the series. Clearly there isn't a single soul that cares enough to buy it. End it now and bring Bionicle back! No because I know this may blow your mind but there are people that ~*Like*~ Hero Factory and would ~*Like*~ to see it grow and develop. Every little complaint they can come up with is opinion based anyway.
A story doesn't need to be some vast adventure of epic proportions to be good.
Very plain battle of good vs. evil?
Yeah, obligatory fire, wind, and earth guys are for more imaginative than acid-spitting stealthy guy, shark-shaped guy, and insectoid-assassin-guy. Clearly no room to like them in any way.
Plastic bags replacing canisters?
Yeah, I too sure do wish more of my money was paying for fancy packaging that I'll throw away instead of the figure itself. And also that more money that they receive is spent on said fancy packaging instead of making new molds for parts. How dare you, Lego.
Not as challenging to build?
I don't know about you guys, but (Oh well who am I kidding all Bionicle fans have no idea what they're talking about and are all wrong and are stupid and also dumb heehoo) I'd much rather have a buildable action figure be fun and interesting to build instead of it being a chore. Even so, Lego outright said that they were going for easy-to-build figures with a twist, like Jawblade being a shark, Toxic Reapa's hunched shape, or the entirety of the Savage Planet line. That and, hell, I'd argue that any Bionicle figure that isn't a Barraki can be built a smidge faster than the standard for Hero Factory. And when its longer, it's not really for the right reasons, like all those little cylinder pieces.
Bionicle being older and having more experience than Hero Factory?
Did I somehow miss the invention of the Time Machine or something, because that can't exactly be helped??? And Hero Factory is technically running off of more experience. Forget about the "From the Makers of Bionicle" sticker on the first HF line of figures? The handling of the franchise seems to be smarter in general too, as I see it. Solid piece limbs showing their age and are becoming outdated? Alright, let's just create an entirely new skeleton system of building from the ground up. Each toyline fixes the previous one's problems, just about. Unlike Bionicle sacrificing posability and articulation for Flail-About-Like-A-Madman-Action and molded elbows all the way until 2006.
Rocka's face is a Kopaka ripoff?
You've got to be fucking joking.
Wait no I see it. Yes the scope eye was all Kopaka. He started the very concept of scope-eyes. And while we're at it, Meltdown ripped off Keetongu because they're both yellow.
Very well said, I totally see your point now. Maybe Hero Factory really is shit after all.
And I know this might come as a shocker to everybody, but Lego makes children's toys. And the main appeal of both Bionicle AND Hero Factory is that you build these badass action figures yourself, and if you really felt like it, you could go nuts and create your own characters.
Besides, good god, other than that Bionicle and Hero Factory are completely irrelevant to each other. Hero Factory was just stupidly handed the blame for the end of the Bionicle line because it happened to start right after Bionicle ended. Just let people that enjoy it discuss it as such and stop being an ass that feels like they have to govern people's opinions.
I'm bad at ending these too. Just have a tl;dr. I probably don't even sound THAT angry for that to be an accurate tl;dr but whatever.
