this is what I mean when I say these extra terms are useless and irrelevant to those of us who actually have aspd.

the terms "psychopath/psychopathy" have become so misused, watered down, and socially connotative that its essentially meaningless in a clinical setting.

according to the dsm5 a psychopath is a person with antisocial personality disorder who meets a certain subset of criteria (usually categorized by the severity and presentation of their antisocial behavior) under that antisocial diagnosis. so in a clinical setting the words "psychopath" and "psychopathy" mean functionally the same thing and the way I was using them is as a different tense of the same word. which is grammatically correct if u go back and read that sentence.

also psychopathy has never meant a general "mental illness" its always been linked to aspd and antisocial behavior so like. I have no idea why ur in my inbox lol
