There is this guy I really like but he's racist and also really homophobic and transphobic, is it possible for me to manifest that he's not any of those things anymore?
........ anything is possible stop asking me that.
you guys take virginity way too seriously. virginity is almost entirely a social construct; most bodies do not change/change very very little after your first time. the purity culture brainwashing is very obvious and y'all should work on that ...
Okay I guess I'm gonna have to be the one to say it
As someone who has been a hardcore Lady Gaga fan since 2009 and as a cane user who has been losing more and more of my mobility since 2018, I am deeply uncomfortable with people praising up the sitting choreography in Abracadabra as if it's the fucking pinnacle of disability ally revolution when the MV also co-opts a cane as a prop (and shaky jolting... almost mocking movements) - it feels grossly uncomfortable to me and not at all pro disabled ally but more so someone who is wearing disability as an aesthetic for shock value
Imo society at large is way too comfortable with using canes as props to the point where people who actually need them are constantly accused of faking and disabled cosplayers who are representing a character they genuinely relate to are asked why they play a character to look and act so genuinely "disabled" when it's just a part of that person's actual disability
And it doesn't sit right with me to praise up a simple sitting choreography as so wonderful wow when the video feels deeply uncomfortable to me
You say you hate octavia for being a teenager in that moment, but i for one thought she had a pretty understandable reason to be mad at him. From her perspective stolas lied to her when he said that he would never leave her, even though we know that him saving blitz during mastermind was a case of life and death, so he didn’t have a choice. But octavia doesn’t know that and only sees her dad leaving her for an imp.
This is not meant to be seen as disrespectful, just trying to explain the scene as best as possible. Octavia has a good reason for feeling what she feels, but it’s important to know that she doesn’t know everything, but I believe she will in time.
Yes, that is kind of my point.
Octavia absolutely has valid feelings about all this.
But as you said, she doesn't have all the information. She is refusing to listen or have any kind of conversation because she is wrapped up in her own feelings about the situation. Which might be reasonable if it had just happened, but it's been more than a month and she should have had some time to process and consider things by now.
And given what she said I think she might have, but only in a place from her own feelings and how things have affected her.
She's choosing to believe, because she is hurt and depressed, that her father is lying and doesn't love her, instead of listening to his side or consider that there might be some desperate circumstance that drove his decision to do what he did.
That is a very teenager thing to do.
And that's okay!
But it made me cry and made Stolas cry and I hate it.
I don't hate her, to be clear, I just really hope in season three she reaches a maturity level where she realizes her father was abused and lonely and was just trying his best with what resources he had. And that they can have that talk.
At some point in your life you gotta realize your parents are flawed people who can have poor decision making skills or find themselves in situations with no good outcome. But because Octavia is a teenager she's not there.
Which is, again, completely okay and reasonable. Because she's a teenager. But aaaaauiuuugggh!!! Teenagers!
Hope that clears things up.

I have a question why do you write Afab, what can't you write female / girl instead because I find that kind of derogatory..
so ... i'm a little confused on how it's derogatory?? afab just means "assigned female at birth" and i write my fics with that because women aren't the only people who read fanfic. it's the same reason why i try to keep physical descriptions of the reader vague (skin color, body size, hair, etc). it's just so my work is more accessible to everyone.
