Rereading CPC but now I think about it, even if Maria and Blaine didn't end up together, it's clear that his betrayal really affected a huge part of her regardless.

Like, we understand why Blaine behaved the way he did. But we can't discount that Maria, even with all her faults genuinely did do her best to make the relationship work. She tried to understand him deeper, and accepted his insecurities. She corrected her ways when she realized that she was being too openly perverted towards him. Even if uncomfortable, she tried to appease to his mother, and not tell her sisters about Isolde's aggression. She was willing to get to know him more and catch him if he had fallen. Even if he wasn't the perfect dreamy prince she wanted, she tried.

And part of her hoped that Blaine still had it in him to not go lower when she begged him to stop the invasion at the Pastel Kingdom. It will remain in her memory, that the secret she trusted Blaine with was the key to the Pastel Kingdom's invasion. That because of that trust, Gwen who was in a comatose, became even more in danger. That her sister and their maids had to fight and get hurt to defend their kingdom.

The way she acts now, her becoming more mature. Blaine's fall and his freedom will always haunt a part of her. In a way, she lost her innocence due to Blaine's betrayal.

In the end, she was a cursed princess, and her curse was meeting Blaine.

Someone had asked me a question in my asks about the protocreed au, and while I want to answer that question in depth, I realized that my posts are very disorganized and they don't necessarily show up when I search them on my blog. So! I figured a good way to segeway later into answering the questions, would be to make a new masterpost, since I can't find it on my actual blog.

NO BECAUSE I GENUINELY WANT IWAZARU TO HAVE A BIGGER ROLE SO HE ACTUALLY IS APART OF H.A.L.T AND BETRAYS THE YAMISOKA'S AND TBH, HE ISN'T EVEN IN THE WRONG. He wants payback for being kidnapped and being abused and for his brother's and the Yamisoka's aren't easy to beat, not unless you know how too and they LITERALLY RAISED HIM.

So like, when HALT is storming Denji's base, Denji just being ordering all of his minions to hold them back but instead, they just surround him and stuff and he's confused until Iwazaru speaks and says: "Stay still."

and Denji is paralyzed but Iwazaru just smiling down at him and being all: "God, I've waited for this moment for SO long."

"KIKAZARU, MIZARU-"

"Yeah, that's not gonna work. Lisa Song already deactivated their brainwashing protocol you installed."

and then Kikazaru and Mizaru look down at Denji as Minako is struggling against them and Iwazaru just kneels down and caresses Denji's mask and sighing: "You know...I might deliver your mask to Warden personally. He's got a nice glass display for it and a cozy cell for you."

"Ah, so Warden is in charge. I should've known this would be too intelligent of a betrayal for you."

and Iwazaru grabs the back of his head and pulls his hair roughly and is all: "You're not allowed to look down on me anymore. I BEAT YOU!" and he laughs as he stands up and is all: "And now, my brothers and I get to have our revenge. No more taking orders from you and no more taking abuse from Akira. We aren't your punching bags anymore."

and Denji gets hoisted up and led away and he's all: "You are going to regret this."

And Iwazaru rolls his eyes as he snaps his fingers and the other Yamisoka siblings and family members are paralyzed from his voice and being led out but like, Mizaru sees Akira, Nina, and Mayumi and he frowns. (Nina isn't under the influence of his voice, though, he could never use that power against her but I can see her following her dad but she just feels really sad bc she thought the Triplets were her friends.)

Mizaru: "Mizaru wants to know if we can at least keep our family?"

Iwazaru: "....They aren't our family, Mizaru. They're our tormentors."

and Akira just has a shameful look in his eyes and Kikazaru's ear twitches.

"Warden's here...Man, Iwa...You did it. You took down the Yamisoka family..."

and Iwazaru highkey feels so emotional so he just smiles and hugs his brothers and responds with: "WE took down the Yamisoka's."

Mizaru: "MIZARU IS GIVING EVERYONE GOLD STARS!!"
