the only three full blown, tony soprano level panic attacks i’ve had in my adulthood were when pap smears were attempted on me lmaooooo BUT TODAY (after taking an ativan, writing out affirmations, texting my friend for support, and making a playlist full of megan thee stallion and bikini kill to listen to on the way there) i communicated my needs to a doctor who was deeply kind and walked me through every second of the process and although we still couldn’t complete the test, she was so kind and sat with me while i cried a bit afterwards and gave me gentle tips if i wanna work on this but only if i want to (neither of us said the word but i’ve been thinking abt vaginismus for a while now hhhhhhhmmmmm) and reassured me and was so kind and it may have been the first positive experience i’ve had in a gynecological office at the age of fucking 31 which is a whole different rant i have but yeah, i’m proud of myself today. fucking exhausted and needed taco bell and blank check afterwards, but proud. i advocated for myself in a medical setting!!! i did it!!!

Being TTC and waiting for IVF will really drive you nuts bc wdym I had to get up at nearly midnight while super tired because I got twinges in my ovaries and I worried I somehow didn’t ovulate when my LH peaked over a week ago… despite never having had a false peak, never ovulated this late, always been pretty regular, and always getting these twinges just before my period.

Just needed to ensure that my body didn’t decide to freak out and go off script just because. My cycle is right now pretty perfectly aligned with a great start date in January so I need it to stay on track
