ʜᴇᴀᴅᴄᴀɴᴏɴ. Unless you’re part of the very select few that Takeru trusts with the information, his connection to Soulburner as his Link VRAINS avatar is something Takeru won’t ever admit to willingly. Takeru’s never been good with computers, but even he understands there’s a much needed safety net in the disconnect between himself and his online persona, especially considering the people both him and Yusaku are dealing with in their fight inside Link VRAINS.
Takeru may trust you as a friend in the real world, even to the point of admitting he has an account inside Link VRAINS, but learning that his online persona is Soulburner is something that’s kept between himself and no more than three people; all three with a connection to his fight, too.
Another touchy subject Takeru tends to keep under wraps is his past as a whole. The Lost Incident was a tragic situation that caused Takeru an overwhelming amount of suffering at a very young age for an extended amount of time. It’s been ten years since, but the trauma caused by his torture then is something that he’s just now starting to come to terms with—and it’s been a rough ride.
Takeru doesn’t really like talking about his past or the events connected to it unless he knows the other person in question has a connection to the Lost Incident, too. He’s still very much uncertain about the path he needs to take to get to the future Flame promised him, and although he’s fighting his fears and starting to reclaim his life, he’s still easily scared of the road ahead.
