DESPITE THE SERIOUS UNDERTONE OF THE CONVERSATION; ALANA CAN’T HELP BUT SMILE. He spoke with such conviction, such passion and truth, all the while somehow maintaining a comedic and lighthearted tone. Admittedly, she was quite impressed. She thought to herself that he must be very good with his patients; he was good at keeping a person calm and happy.
She shakes her head a bit, thinking on all the unpredictabilities in life that had been so ugly to her-------------she wasn’t about to DIVULGE them though. She was the one accustomed to hearing other people’s stories about how ugly life had been to them; not telling her own.

❛ oh, hey, morning, babe. sorry, i think i used all your hot water, so you should probably wait if you’re gonna shower. ❜ deb’s eyes don’t really linger on her boyfriend for more than a brief glimpse up when he first enters the room, and instead are fixed on her screen while she types away. a few seconds of silence later, deb lets her phone clatter onto the counter top and beams pleasantly up at him. ❛ laguerta’s giving me monday off, so i get a three day weekend. ❜ which, normally, she would be very much against.. but that’s when she doesn’t have a boyfriend and a brother to nag. it’s always nice to have days off when they’re spent doing something other than sleeping alone in your apartment. ❛ what do you think? should we get rita and dexter to get dinner tonight with us? ❜ she’s sure that rita could use a break from her kids, and dexter.. well, he needs less time off by himself, too.
