My username comes from the mexican slang expression, “ah caray” which basically means “oh geez”. I was 11 when I came up with it and wanted it to look japanese-like, hence the odd spelling. Having had this moniker for 17 years I’m rather fond of it, but I’m fully aware it’s not the most professional of names :)

doing traditional art means that my materials and artwork are effected by the world around me including the light situation. in this situation, the hair was drawn with graphite, and heavily drawn with graphite, which made it very reflective

the purplish hue is entirely due to that effect
