Don't mind me, just talking to myself...
I was originally going to write a negative, "woe is me" post, but I decided to instead write some reminders to myself:
Don't allow yourself to simply be a convenience to someone when he/she is bored or lonely, especially if you value the person beyond convenience or even friendship. Do know that there is always a future, always a tomorrow, and always new people to meet and places to see. Don't sweat the small stuff. Breathe, eat some chocolate, whatever you have to do to calm down. Do always give yourself some down time and go out with friends when you need to. Don't keep people in your life who criticize you for being yourself, especially for your appearance, sexual orientation, sexual "inexperience," and your goals for the future. Do learn to accept these things about yourself and understand that they're not wrong, stupid, or things to be self-conscious of. Don't waste time over-thinking and dwelling on people or 'what could have been." Do enjoy life as it is right now. It's okay to have off-days and to cry and to be angry- to feel however you're feeling, but even on mediocre days try to see the positive.
Most of all, do learn to like yourself and to gain some confidence in who you are and leave people and situations that compromise you behind.
These are all things I need to work on and remind myself of and I'm still a work in progress, but I'm looking forward.
