Story Time: so I was stepping over a gate thing (i mean it should be a gate that opens but it doesn’t so it’s a three foot high wall thing) and i fell. like full on face planted when i was halfway over it.

the way i landed and the pain in my shoulder and wrist I thought i may have either broken my collarbone on my right side or my left wrist (but i just kinda ignored it like i normally do and they stopped hurting)

now i don’t remember hitting my calf off of anything. I seriously don’t, it wasn’t even on my radar as a potential injury (the tiny cut on the front of my knee hurt more at the time). when I got home and took off my pants i had a barely visible light blue bruise the size of maybe a clementine and that’s when i noticed it hurting (i guess the tightness of my jeans was suppressing the pain??? is that a thing) 

when i woke up the next morning it was red/purple and slightly bigger, but when i got home that night it looked like that. and it’s been like that for 5 ish days. but it’s not getting any worse and it doesn’t hurt at all so im just waiting for the blood to be reabsorbed back into the vessels. which hopefully will be soon

awww! thank you, anon! i’m sure i love/would love your blog too!the tattoo on my arm is a claddagh! it’s typically seen in ring form and it symbolizes Love, Loyalty and Friendship. i currently have five tattoos and will probably get at least three more at some point or other. I didn’t get my first tattoo until i was 20, i think. the men in my family all had tattoos and i have wanted to be covered in them for as long as i can remember. luckily my older sister, who was also decently tattoo’d, told me that when i decided what i wanted i should wait 2 years. two years thinking about that tattoo, planning out the design, researching artists, saving up money (you will get what you pay for, this is going to be on you forever so be prepared to drop $500+ on something big), and really thinking about what that tattoo means to you. if you still want it in two years - Get it! I followed her advice for all my tattoos except one. which means i have 4 GORGEOUS pieces that have deep meaning to me, were thought out and longed after for years… and one cheap set of music notes i got for an ex girlfriend that would “play” the theme from DEBS.  DEBS, anon! have you seen DEBS? it’s cute and all, and who doesn’t love Jordana Brewster, but of all the movies to take a song from… DEBS. it’s embarrassing! and it’s not even the Erasure song! it’s the one that plays over the end credits. so my advice is to decide what you want, and start saving and planning and really thinking it over. and in two years, you’ll either have a piece that means a lot to you, or you’ll have changed your mind! don’t be the girl with the sheet-music to DEBS on her leg.

I agree with the anon... You are a precious gem of a person and I'm so sorry we, those of us who adore you through the Internet and want to see you protected, failed to do so and allowed you to get your heart broken. We have failed you. And as someone who has also had her heart crushed by a girl who she thought she'd grow old with, I know the emotional waterboarding that comes in the wake of the relationship ending. I'm so sorry, darlin'.

See, here's the other thing though. We were never romantically involved. I had feelings for her, and she knew it for part of that time, but we were never together like that. But she was...my best friend. And I was hers. And I knew it. I was so sure, so certain of what we had, and then that just...went away. And I don't know why or where it went but it was the loss of that certainty that broke us.

And now she's gone and when I think about her being gone it's like I'm leaning over a cliff with no guard rail -- there's just this chasm of empty space and there's nothing for me to hold onto to make sure I don't fall.

I don't even want to get over her, despite how much it hurts. Getting over her means letting her go and I don't feel like I can do that, even if really she's already gone.
