1. What is your favourite book? And why exactly this?
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. It’s a Victorian mystery/thriller that I chose out of a list for English class in high school. I wasn’t expecting much, but I really got sucked into the story to the point where I was chewing my nails and making distressed sounds. And the characters are just so good and diverse and delightful! It was apparently also one of the first feminist-oriented books of its time, because it centered so much on the plight of the three female main characters. It is not only my favorite book, but my favorite musical of the same name, composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber! The musical changed some stuff from the book, mainly how it treated the villain, but it made the story more succinct and enjoyable in its own way.
A close second is Elvenbane by Mercedes Lackey. I’m a Mercedes Lackey fangirl, if there is such a thing.
2. What do you like to eat?
Now this is strange, but I’m not much of a food person. I’m a supertaster, which means I have too many tastebuds on my tongue, which does the opposite of what you would think – it makes food taste awful most of the time. Anything bitter or sour or spicy is enhanced like a hundred times. There’s a whole list of foods that supertasters hate, and I hate most of them (except for soda). So I stick to bland foods, mostly, like grilled cheese sandwiches, yogurt (lots of dairy), processed meats, nuts, juices, etc. Not the healthiest diet, but there you go. I can always find something to eat at most restaurants, but because of this, going out eating with friends is not at the top of my list of fun things to do.
3. What is the title of a song that cheers you up?
“We Go Together” sung by David Tennant and Catherine Tate
“Merry Happy” by Kate Nash
“Boombox” by The Lonely Island
and of course, “Carry On My Wayward Son” by Kansas – but this also makes me have ALL THE FEELINGS
It’s a strange assortment. I had to look through my playlist to find them, because it changes all the time…
4. Have you ever seen a kangaroo?
Yes, I think at the San Diego Zoo?
5. What is your favourite colour?
6. Can you say something in Polish? If so write something :D
NOOOPE. But I took three semesters of Japanese, half of which I can’t remember. Does that count?
7. Do you have enough courage to sing in public?
I usually watch other people do karaoke, but I’ll sing with the group if I know the song. I definitely sing in the car.
8. If you could appear in one TV series, which would it be and why exactly this?
Probably Supernatural, and be the unlucky person who dies horribly before the credits. It’s all I could ever want in such a position.
9. What would you do if you knew that you will die tomorrow?
I’m torn between trying to finish everything I’ve left undone and hanging out with my friends on a movie night.
10. Can you play a musical instrument?
Tried the piano but was too un-ambidextrous. I’ve always wanted to play the harmonica.
11. What do you consider the most beautiful place you have ever seen in your life?
Goppenstein valley, Switzerland, specifically the Fafleralp hotel at the edge of the valley. It’s one of my favorite places to be in the summer, but I haven’t been in a couple years. Also, scuba diving around a shipwreck in the Caribbean at 85feet.
12. What was your earliest celebrity/character crush (and is the crush ongoing or abandoned)?
Celebrity crushes didn’t factor into my life until waaaayyy later. Um, Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon? He’s still damn fine for an animu character, and always will be.
13. What song is stuck in your head most at the moment?
Two Birds by Regina Spektor
14. Do you have siblings, and if yes, how do you get along?
Nope, only child. Always wanted a younger sib, though.
15. Do you know (if yes, since which age) how to swim / ride a bike / drive a car (stick shift/automatic)?
Swim – since I was a toddler. Bike – since I was 18 (super late! Also learned most of it the hard way in LA during college). Drive a car, automatic – also 18.
16. Mountains or the sea?
Sea. There’s no altitude to get used to, and I love swimming!
17. What was your first OTP and first fandom?
Oh man. Zelgadis and Amelia from The Slayers - it’s still a cherished OTP of mine, and kind of canon? (besides the adorable character interactions, pairings in The Slayers seem to be dictated by matching hairstyles lol) I guess The Slayers was my first fandom before I really understood what fandoms were. Then the Code Geass fandom was the one that sucked me into fandom-mentality. Then Doctor Who and now Supernatural.
18. What are the two predominant colours in your wardrobe?
Black and red? Black and blue? It’s a tie.
19. Do you prefer live music or the recorded versions / do you like to go to concerts?
Recorded versions because I get headaches in loud crowds. Wow, I sound like such a wet blanket…
20. Do you have/have you had pets?
Right now, 2 dogs and 2 cats. They are all insane.
21. Which place/country do you dream about visiting?
22. What is your latest (additional ;) ) celebrity/character crush?
If it wasn’t obvious enough by my Tumblr, Misha Collins. He makes my kokoro go doki doki. I guess I like charming people who are also insane?
